Liv Morgan Set to Return to WWE Soon – WWE Superstar Liv Morgan has officially wrapped production on her role in the upcoming feature film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, directed by acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike. According to a report from PWInsider, Morgan’s first foray into dramatic acting was met with overwhelmingly positive reactions on set.
Morgan, who traveled to Japan for the shoot, reportedly impressed the production team and film veterans alike with her performance. Sources close to the movie described her acting debut as a major success, with one stating that she “absolutely ‘crushed’ her role” and was a “complete natural on the set.” Another insider added that she “blew everyone, including experienced industry veterans, away with her work,” suggesting Morgan made a seamless transition from the world of professional wrestling to film.
Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo marks Morgan’s first dramatic acting role and represents a significant step in her career outside of WWE. Directed by Miike—known for his prolific and diverse filmography—the project is expected to gain international attention upon release.
Despite her temporary absence from WWE television, Morgan’s hiatus was always intended to be short-term. PWInsider notes she is expected to return to WWE programming very soon. Fightful Select had previously reported that her filming commitments were scheduled to conclude around May 16, with her return to the United States set for May 17.
Fans can expect to see Morgan back in the WWE ring shortly, potentially rejoining storylines just as the road to Money in the Bank heats up.
