Netflix Releases First Promo for WWE RAW Debut – WWE’s transition to Netflix is officially underway, as the streaming giant released its first promotional video ahead of WWE’s domestic debut on the platform. The 30-second spot dropped on social media Thursday, marking the beginning of the media push for this historic shift, which kicks off with the January 6 episode of RAW at Los Angeles’ new Intuit Dome.
Set to Mustard and Migos’ “Pure Water,” the promo highlights the excitement of WWE fans and podcasters, along with dynamic in-ring moments. Featured stars include The Rock, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and more. Interestingly, NXT Champion Trick Williams appeared in the montage despite not currently being on the main roster, possibly hinting at future plans.
While the domestic Netflix premiere is tied to the January 6 RAW episode, the teaser offered a general “January 2025” timeline for the broader debut. A nearly identical version of the ad for Netflix UK and Ireland highlights RAW, SmackDown, NXT, premium live events (PLEs), and “select programming & historic PLEs” from WWE’s archives.
This campaign follows WWE’s monumental 10-year, $5 billion deal with Netflix, announced in January 2024. The agreement makes Netflix the domestic home for RAW and the exclusive platform for all WWE content internationally, including PLEs and classic shows. Fans can expect more promotional material as WWE gears up for its streaming era.
