Ratings for 4/12 WWE SmackDown & AEW Rampage – As expected, WWE SmackDown saw a decrease in viewership on April 12.
According to Wrestlenomics, the show attracted 2.499 million viewers on Friday night, down from the previous week’s 2.603 million viewers. Last week it was the final show before WrestleMania.
In the coveted 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown earned a 0.76 rating, also down from last week’s 0.8 rating in the same demographic. Despite the dip, SmackDown still claimed the top spot in the demographic for broadcast primetime on Friday.
The episode began with a promo from Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Solo Sikoa appeared to have taken control of The Bloodline, ousting Jimmy Uso and introducing Tama Tonga as the newest member.
Naomi secured a victory over Tiffany Stratton, earning herself a shot at Bayley’s WWE Women’s Championship next week.
In the main event, AJ Styles emerged victorious in a triple threat match against Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens. Styles is set to face LA Knight, who won his own triple threat match earlier in the evening, in a rematch from WrestleMania 40 next week. The winner of that match will go on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash.
As for AEW Rampage, the show drew 295,000 viewers, up from the previous week’s show on April 5, 2024, which drew 267,000 viewers.
Rampage also drew a 0.08 rating in the key 18 to 49 year old demographic. This is same as the 4/5 episode, which also finished with a 0.08 in the same coveted demo.
