Since then, Williams has been on a mission for payback, culminating in his victory over Hayes in the main event of NXT Stand & Deliver. However, their unresolved conflict persists.
On the April 9 episode of WWE NXT, Trick Williams made his intentions clear as he confronted NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov, challenging him to a title match at NXT Spring Breakin’. Initially hesitant, Dragunov eventually agreed but stipulated that if Williams were to lose, he would be forced to depart NXT for good. Undeterred, Trick accepted the high-stakes challenge, setting the stage for a potentially career-defining showdown.
Before the match could materialize, Carmelo Hayes intervened, launching a brutal assault on Trick Williams and Ilja Dragunov alike. In a bold declaration, Hayes declared that Williams wouldn’t even make it to the scheduled title match at NXT Spring Breakin’, revealing that they would instead clash inside a Steel Cage on the upcoming April 16 episode of NXT.
While the official confirmation of the Steel Cage match is yet to be announced, the escalating tensions and personal vendettas promise a tumultuous encounter that could alter the landscape of WWE NXT.
Also announced on the April 9 episode, Dijak will face Noam Dar following a brief confrontation backstage. Plus, Sol Ruca will face Lola Vice. Elsewhere on the show, Ridge Holland will return to the ring when he faces Joaquin Wilde. Holland previously announced that he was stepping away from competition indefinitely.
