Backstage Update on Nikki Cross Status with WWE – Since assuming control of main roster creative from Vince McMahon in the summer of 2022, Triple H has ushered in a wave of changes within WWE, with new stars rising and others taking a step back from the spotlight. Among those notably absent from the scene in 2024 is Nikki Cross.
Despite her absence from television screens, reports from PWInsider indicate that Nikki Cross has been a regular presence at WWE TV events. This comes as a surprise considering her significant contributions to the company in recent years.
In June 2021, Nikki embarked on a transformative journey, shedding her previous persona to embrace a new gimmick as Nikki ASH, which stood for ‘Almost A Superhero.’ With her superhero-like gear and a more comical approach, she found remarkable success, culminating in a major push.
Her crowning achievement came when she emerged victorious in the 2021 Money in the Bank match, subsequently capturing the Raw Women’s Title. Despite reverting to her old character afterward, Nikki remained a fixture on Raw, showcasing her versatility.
However, her appearances dwindled, with her last match dating back to the November 6th episode of Raw, where she competed in a battle royal. Prior to that, she was booked on an October 23rd episode of Raw.
As Nikki Cross continues to remain off-screen, WWE fans await her eventual return, hopeful for another chapter in her storied career.
