Minneapolis Bids to Host WWE WrestleMania 41 – Minneapolis, Minnesota, is reportedly vying to host WWE WrestleMania 41 next year, aiming to finally secure the coveted event after years of speculation. Dating back to 2015, there have been murmurs of Minneapolis potentially hosting WrestleMania, with previous hopes dashed when Orlando, Florida, secured the honor for WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
If Minneapolis indeed becomes the chosen destination, the prestigious event is expected to take place at the U.S. Bank Stadium, home to the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. With its indoor setting and impressive seating capacity of up to 73,000 for events, the venue offers an ideal backdrop for the spectacle of WrestleMania.
According to reports from the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota Sports and Events has formally submitted its bid to host WrestleMania at the U.S. Bank Stadium. Wendy Blackshaw, the president and CEO of MNSE, described the bidding process as “very competitive,” highlighting the city’s enthusiasm and determination to bring the iconic event to its doorstep.
As WWE gears up for WrestleMania 40, set to take place on April 6 and 7, 2024, at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attention is already turning toward future installments of the mega-event. Night one will feature a blockbuster showdown between The Rock & Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins, while night two will see Reigns defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Rhodes in a highly anticipated main event.
