Kevin Nash Comments on The Rock’s Absence From WrestleMania 41 – On the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash discussed attending the recent WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and shed light on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s absence from WrestleMania 41.
Nash offered a straightforward explanation, linking The Rock’s no-show to his Hollywood obligations. According to Nash, The Rock is currently filming a project directed by Martin Scorsese, which left him unavailable for WWE’s biggest event of the year. Nash pulled no punches in explaining the situation, stating, “Rock couldn’t show up because Rock was fu**ing filming a Scorsese film.”
Nash went on to reference a previous injury The Rock sustained while preparing for the movie Hercules, an incident that led to major financial consequences. “The last time Rock fu**ing showed up right before Hercules, he tore his fuing bone off his pelvis, and he fu**ing cost production 10 million dollars,” Nash recalled.
He also dismissed the idea that The Rock skipped WrestleMania purely to avoid overshadowing John Cena, a claim Johnson himself had previously made. Nash emphasized that the decision was not in The Rock’s hands this time around, saying, “Rock can say whatever he wants, ‘I didn’t want to f**k up Cena’s fuing moment.’ He didn’t have the option. Scorsese was not gonna let him.”
Nash’s comments provide further clarity on The Rock’s absence and highlight the challenges WWE faces when coordinating appearances from global superstars with major outside commitments.
