WWE Scraps Brock Lesnar from Creative Plans – Following the sex trafficking lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon and WWE, with a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion named in the filing, Brock Lesnar’s future on WWE television appears uncertain, if not unlikely.
Initial plans had Lesnar slated for a surprise return at the Royal Rumble, but Bron Breakker replaced him in the Men’s Rumble Match. Lesnar was also intended to face Dominik Mysterio at the Elimination Chamber and was scheduled to wrestle WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 40. However, these plans have since been scrapped.
Fans recently observed Lesnar’s absence from the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game, adding to speculation about his status with the company.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed Lesnar’s removal from WWE’s creative plans in a recent tweet. Furthermore, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there are currently no plans to utilize Lesnar in WWE programming.
Given the legal issues and uncertainty surrounding Lesnar’s involvement, it seems his return to WWE television is unlikely for the foreseeable future.
