Update on WrestleMania 40 Start Time – WWE WrestleMania has historically been known for its marathon runtime, but this year, the company is making efforts to streamline the event and avoid running late into the evening.
Prior to 2020, WrestleMania events had grown increasingly lengthy over the years, drawing criticism from fans. However, starting with WrestleMania 36 in 2020, WWE implemented a two-night format, with each night clocking in at around four hours. This change was widely praised by fans as it made the event more manageable and enjoyable.
As WrestleMania approaches, WWE is exploring various card variations and considering multiple scenarios. Several adjustments have already been made, including Brock Lesnar’s removal from the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and the cancellation of the anticipated match between CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins due to Punk’s torn triceps.
One highly anticipated match expected for WrestleMania is Cody Rhodes challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE has made a significant decision regarding WrestleMania’s start time. The main card will now commence at 7 pm EST, an hour earlier than usual, with a likely two-hour pre-show beginning at 5 pm EST. This adjusted schedule will apply to both nights of WrestleMania.
With these changes, WWE aims to strike a balance between delivering an action-packed event and ensuring a more manageable viewing experience for fans.
