Kenny Omega Sidelined Indefinitely Due to Injury – It seems Kenny Omega is facing yet another setback in his wrestling journey. Earlier today, he shared on social media that he’s facing an indefinite hiatus, posting a hospital photo and expressing gratitude for doctors intervening when the pain became unbearable. However, he hasn’t disclosed the specific reason behind this latest sidelining.
“I can’t really sugar coat this. I’m out indefinitely. I tried to keep pushing past the pain for as long as I could until it became too much. Luckily doctors caught me when they did. I’ll be here so in the mean time, please enjoy wrestling!”
Omega has a history of grappling with various injuries, having been out of action from November 2021 to August 2022 due to hernia and knee surgeries. Despite his return in August 2022 for trios action, he has had limited singles matches, amounting to just 12 since his comeback.
His most recent match was on the December 9 episode of AEW Collision, where he secured a victory against Ethan Page. Unfortunately, his participation in a scheduled tag team championship challenge at AEW Worlds End on December 30 alongside Chris Jericho against Ricky Starks & Big Bill is now uncertain due to his current health situation.
