WWE Women’s Championship and More Set For 10/20 SmackDown – A highly-anticipated match for the WWE Women’s Championship has been scheduled for the upcoming week’s episode of WWE SmackDown on 10/20. IYO SKY will be defending her title against Charlotte Flair, with this clash being the result of recent events that unfolded on Friday’s show.
After IYO SKY secured a victory against Zelina Vega on tonight’s show, Bayley, along with the rest of Damage CTRL, continued their attack on Vega. Charlotte Flair made a dramatic entrance to save Vega from the relentless assault.
Additionally, Charlotte Flair was later spotted in a meeting with the new SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis. Jade Cargill was also present in the office, and the two had a heated exchange during their encounter.
It’s worth noting that Charlotte Flair’s previous attempt to capture the WWE Women’s Championship took place at WWE Fastlane, where she participated in a three-way match against IYO SKY and Bayley. The bout ended with IYO SKY emerging victorious, thanks to interference from Bayley.
In addition to the women’s championship match, another compelling showdown has been announced for the next week’s episode. Montez Ford is set to face off against Santos Escobar of the LWO. This match stems from an incident at tonight’s Raw, where Carlito was attacked backstage by Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits. The LWO attempted to come to Carlito’s aid, but he had already fallen victim to the assault.
Here is what is currently set for next week’s SmackDown:
- WWE Women’s Championship: IYO SKY defends against Charlotte Flair
