As a result of the physical contest, Becky Lynch was unable to defend her title against Tegan Nox on the following Monday night, as she was not cleared to compete. Tiffany Stratton, too, displayed the visible effects of their match.
Stratton was absent from Tuesday’s episode of NXT but took to Twitter to share a photo of her black eye, attributing it to her encounter with Becky Lynch. She humorously captioned the post, “Happy Tiffy Tuesday to everyone but @BeckyLynchWWE,” highlighting the physical toll the match took on both competitors.
Lynch sustained a laceration during the contest, which required 11 stitches to close the wound. As a result of her injury, she was not cleared to compete on the October 2 episode of WWE RAW.
However, Becky Lynch is scheduled to make her return to action on RAW next week, where she will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Tegan Nox.
In addition to her upcoming RAW appearance, Lynch announced that she will also defend her title on the first night of NXT Halloween Havoc, which is set to be a two-night event taking place on October 24 and 31. This decision sets the stage for an action-packed and eventful period in the NXT Women’s division.
