NXT Women’s Title Match Set for NXT Halloween Havoc Night 1 – Lyra Valkyria has earned herself a future NXT Women’s Championship opportunity after a triple threat contender’s match on the October 3 episode of WWE NXT.
In the opening segment, Valkyria, Indi Hartwell, and Roxanne Perez made their cases for why they should be the next in line for a shot at the NXT Women’s title, which was held by Becky Lynch.
Becky Lynch, as the NXT Women’s Champion, decided to book the three women in a triple threat match to determine the top contender for her title. Later in the night, during the match, Roxanne Perez came close to winning but was interfered with by Kiana James, who pulled her out of the ring. Ultimately, Lyra Valkyria seized the opportunity and pinned Indi Hartwell to secure the victory.
As a result of her win, Lyra Valkyria is now set to challenge Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Championship during the first night of NXT Halloween Havoc on October 24. However, this assumes that Lynch successfully retains her title against Tegan Nox on the October 9 episode of WWE RAW. The match sets the stage for an exciting and competitive showdown in the NXT Women’s division.
As noted, NXT Halloween Havoc is set to be a two-week special on October 24 and October 31.
