Tony Khan Declines To Comment On CM Punk And Hangman Page Situation – Tony Khan appeared on the Battleground podcast this Monday, and shown a lack of interest in discussing the recent developments concerning CM Punk, Hangman Page, and various others.
Khan was questioned about the recent incidents where multiple wrestlers were initially scheduled for Collision events but were subsequently removed from the lineup. These incidents followed discussions with CM Punk, which reached a climax with Punk expressing his unfiltered thoughts about “Hangman” Adam Page.
“No, not really,” Khan responded when asked if he could provide clarification on the matter. “I thought it was a great show Saturday night and I don’t have any further comment to that but I am glad people are still very interested in our wrestlers and what’s happening after the wrestling shows. I think we’ll try to have a couple great shows this week but certainly there has been a lot of interest in what’s happening in AEW in and out of the ring.”
As noted, Hangman Page had initially been planned to record a pre-taped segment backstage during Saturday’s Collision event. However, he was subsequently instructed not to proceed with the filming within the venue. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer further discussed comparable incidents involving Ryan Nemeth, Matt Hardy, and Christopher Daniels.
