Backstage News On CM Punk’s Candid Remarks About Adam Page – Following AEW Collision, CM Punk’s remarks about Hangman Adam Page have sparked speculation on social media regarding whether Punk and Page have resolved their real-life issues to the extent of incorporating them into a storyline. Contrary to this assumption, it appears that Punk’s comments were genuinely unscripted.
In today’s F4WOnline Daily Update, Dave Meltzer disclosed that Page was initially scheduled to be present at the Collision event in Greensboro for the purpose of recording a backstage pre-taped promo to build anticipation for this upcoming Wednesday’s Dynamite episode.
However, upon his arrival at the venue, Page was informed that he should not attend the show and that the promo would have to be recorded off-site. Consequently, Hangman was not included in the show’s lineup.
In his post-match promo, CM Punk referred to an incident where he received a chop from House of Black despite requesting otherwise. He went on to label Hangman Adam Page as a “peg warmer,” because he (Punk) sells toys and merchandise, unlike Page. Additionally, Punk expressed his affection for the fans, noting their contribution to increased ticket sales for Collision in Greensboro compared to their previous visit to the city. He also expressed his acceptance of both positive and negative signs from the audience. Throughout and after Collision, Punk encountered a varied fan response, receiving both positive and negative reactions.
Dave Meltzer also indicated that The Young Bucks and CM Punk have a mutual understanding not to speak negatively about each other. However, this arrangement does not extend to Hangman Adam Page.
