WWE RAW Results (4/3) Los Angeles, CA

WWE RAW Results (4/3) – The post-WrestleMania 39 edition of WWE RAW (click here for Spoilers For 4/3 WWE RAW Matches And Segments) opens up with highlights from Night 1 and Night 2 of WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.

We are live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, as Triple H makes his way to the ring to start the show.

The WWE Hall of Fame legend settles inside the squared circle and does his pose on the ropes in the corner. His music dies down and he officially welcomes us to Monday Night Raw with his gravely, raspy voice. He says if he wasn’t on a high before, that reception just put him on one.

Hunter says if he wasn’t on a high from this weekend, he would have been now.  What a weekend it was.  Wrestlemania.  One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand fans jam packed into SoFi Stadium for an event that lived up to its name, the grandest stage of them all.  An event forty years in the making.  From man’s vision from Madison Square Garden to LA, packed to the rafters.  He says it was beyond his wildest expectations.  Hunter says he wanted to say thank you.  He wanted to thank every Superstar in the back, every performer who has entered this ring.  They lay their bodies on the line every week.  Hunter thanks the staff and crew who make Wrestlemania possible.  People who make nights like tonight possible.  Everyone in the back, every member of the crew, even Stu on camera, he wants to thank them.

The people behind the scenes make this possible.  I walked into SoFi stadium last week and no matter how many times I saw photos and video of the stage being built, it took my breath away.  It made that spectacle possible.  Hunter says he wants to thank the WWE Universe, the people that make it possible for them to do what they love to do.

On a day when WWE is dominating the news and social media, when we are water cooler talk, then they come along and make an announcement that everyone wants to talk about.  Hunter says we ain’t going nowhere.  The same WWE that you love.  The same WWE that put 161,000 people in the rafters at SoFI stadium is not going anywhere.  We will be here week in and week out, event after event, sold out arena after sold out arena, packed stadium after packed stadium because we are WWE!

Then, now, forever… together.

Hunter asks everyone to acknowledge one more person.  Nine hundred forty-six days.  He brings out Roman Reigns.

Hunter hugs Roman and then shakes Paul and Solo’s hand as the three men walk to the ring.

Paul takes the title belts and then he hands Roman the mic. Roman says he guesses after last night’s performance they should do it like this… Hollywood… ACKNOWLEDGE ME!

Cody Rhodes’ music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Cody tells Roman he knows what he wants to talk about.  Today is turning out differently than I had anticipated and others anticipated.  Cody says he expected to be standing here as the Universal Champion.  Cody says he doesn’t have the titles.  He says he will acknowledge that last night you were the better competitor.  He says we always have to do this with the world watching, but with this as a factor, he wishes it wasn’t.  Cody says Roman knows he skated by and got the win.  Last night, I had you.

Cody says he knew what he wanted to talk to.  It boils down to one word . . . REMATCH.

Paul asks Roman for the opportunity to speak. He says he was thinking on behalf of Roman Reigns, when exactly would you like this hypothetical rematch? Cody says tonight! Paul tells Cody ‘no rematch’.  Not tonight, not in Puerto Rico, not at SummerSlam, not at Survivor Series, not at Madison Square Garden, not at Royal Rumble.  No No No!

Paul says that is calling the shots because you live on the Island of Relevancy.

Cody asks Paul if he thinks he is in a normal mood for these games and chicanery?  To get to last night and for that to happen.  You don’t want to do a rematch tonight and give the fans what they want?  I know how tough you are?  If you don’t want the rematch, how about a tag match?  Let’s do something here and let’s do something now.

Paul asks for a moment with Roman before giving Cody a response.

Paul says he has been authorized to inform Cody that his challenge is accepted.  There are two parameters.  If someone in that locker room is so stupid as to be willing to team with you, it has to be someone who wrestled this past weekend at Wrestlemania.  Then you will realize how alone you are.  Anyone who agrees to team with you will never get another title match against Roman as long as he is the champion.  What do you want to talk about now?

Brock Lesnar’s music plays.and he makes his way to the ring.

As Brock Lesnar emerges with his cowboy hat in-hand, the crowd goes wild. Lesnar puts the hat on and begins the walk. Corey Graves says that stipulation doesn’t apply to Lesnar anyways, because he lost the right to challenge Reigns for the title at SummerSlam anyways, so the rules don’t apply to him.

Lesnar grabs Cody and the two embrace and smile as they stand off with Reigns and Sikoa. The fans chant “Holy sh*t!” and then “You f*cked up!” Reigns and Sikoa exit the ring with “The Wise Man” as Cody and Lesnar hug again in the ring while Lesnar’s music plays to end the segment.

Backstage:

Jimmy and Jey Uso walk in the back and they knock on Roman’s door. Paul comes out and he greets The Usos.  Paul says that Roman is having a meeting with Solo to discuss tonight’s tag match.  He says they are discussing strategy.  Paul says Roman appreciates their contribution and the jet is fired up and ready to go when they mop up the floor with Cody and Brock, they will join them on the jet.  Paul says the seafood is waiting for them. They reluctantly leave.

Austin Theory makes his way to the ring.

Theory says him and Rey deserve some respect.  We are the only two who did exactly what they said they would do at Wrestlemania.  You beat the product of your bad parenting.  I beat a legend.  I beat the greatest of all time, John Cena.  You are too busy trying to correct the past.  Your son didn’t believe in you and these people didn’t believe in me. Theory says this is the Raw after Wrestlemania where I would be eaten alive?  I cannot be touched because I am on top.  They love to chant for Cena, but he is a part timer.  Austin says Rey is just like John so they should cheer for him. You still suck!” chants break out. Theory says he doesn’t suck because he beat John Cena. He says the fans will probably still chant at the top of their lungs, “Cena! Cena!” He tells them to go ahead and cheer for him because he’s not here. “He’s a part time!” Theory tells Rey that he’s just gonna be another legend he’s collecting on his list.

As soon as they end the formal introductions, Brock Lesnar turns and takes out Cody Rhodes with the F-5. Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman look shocked. They exit the ring as Lesnar begins a prolonged beatdown of Cody.

Lesnar beats down Cody from pillar to post for what seems like forever. He beats him down in the ring, hitting him with suplexes, F-5s, standing on his throat, etc. He takes him out to the floor and just pulverizes him further. He bashes him into and through anything that isn’t nailed down.

Back in the ring, Lesnar grabs the bottom half of the steel ring steps and plants Cody into them with a vengeance. He goes to leave but decides he hasn’t had enough. He runs back down to the ring and grabs a steel chair. He pushes it down on the throat of “The American Nightmare” as fans boo like crazy and Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick keep asking “Why?!” on commentary.

A ton of officials, including Adam Pearce, rush to the scene to check on Cody in the ring as Lesnar finally exits the squared circle and heads back up the long entrance ramp once again. A hush comes over the crowd as we see the officials check on him, but then the noise picks up again when Lesnar comes from the back and takes off his gloves to shoot the double birds to Cody and the crowd. The crowd boos and we go off the air with medics checking on Cody.

We go to credits.
