SmackDown Draws Highest Ratings Of The Year – Last week’s WWE SmackDown episode averaged 2.535 million viewers on FOX, which is up from 2.212 million a week ago, according to Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics.
In the all-important 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.63 rating, up from the 0.50 rating a week ago. This was the highest ratings of 2022 as the key demo rating hasn’t been this high since the September 10, 2021 episode with a 0.65 while the previous highest total viewership was on March 20, 2020.
Here’s the breakdown in each demo for the show compared to last week:
- Viewers 18-34 – 0.44 – a week ago: 0.29
- Viewers 18-49 – 0.63 – a week ago: 0.50
- Viewers 25-54 – 0.80 – a week ago: 0.66
- Female viewers 18-49 – 4.9 – a week ago: 4.6
- Male viewers 18-49 – 9.2 – a week ago: 6.5
- Viewers 50+ – 3.6 – a week ago: 3.3

- 9/2/22: 2,077,000 viewers – 0.49 key demo rating
- 9/9/22: 2,367,000 viewers – 0.57 key demo rating – Clash at the Castle fallout
- 9/16/22: 2,212,000 viewers – 0.50 key demo rating
- 9/23/22: 2,535,000 viewers – 0.63 key demo rating
As for AEW Rampage, the show averaged 522,000 viewers and a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic on TNT. Last week the show did 470,000 viewers and a 0.14 rating.
This was the two-hour Grand Slam special. The first hour did 558,000 viewers and a 0.18 key demo rating, while the second hour had 486,000 viewers and a 0.16 rating.
