Kenny Omega Returns On AEW Dynamite, Teams With The Young Bucks

Kenny Omega Returns On AEW Dynamite – Kenny Omega made his long awaited return from injury on tonight’s “House of the Dragon” episode of AEW Dynamite.

Omega popped up as the Young Bucks’s mystery partner in their AEW World Trios Championship Tournament First Round matchup against Andrade El Idolo, RUSH, and Dragon Lee. Omega’s return was teased on this past Monday’s episode of Being The Elite.

Omega got his trademark introduction from Justin Roberts and he got a massive pop from the crowd. Omega wrestled with a brace on his shoulder and a compression top. This also marked the return of Don Callis and Michael Nakazawa.

Omega favored his shoulder, ribs and knee and the announcers noted that he hasn’t fully recovered from his injuries. Omega won the match for his team after hitting the One Winged Angel on Dragon Lee, which means that The Elite moves on to the semi-finals in the Trios Tournament.

This mark’s Omega’s first appearance on AEW programming since the November 17, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite. On that episode, Omega revealed he would be stepping away for a while, which prompted Adam Cole to become the unofficial leader of The Elite for the time being. While Omega was away, he dealt with various injuries including a knee issue and a hernia.

Before taking the injury break, Omega had a 346-day reign with the AEW World Championship, a title which he lost to Hangman Adam Page at the 2021 Full Gear pay-per-view.

Tony Khan reacted to the news of Omega’s comeback:
