Athena Reacts To Her AEW Debut – Athena, formerly known as Ember Moon, arrived in All Elite Wrestling on Sunday night during the Double Or Nothing event by helping Anna Jay and Kris Statlander to even the odds against Jade Cargill and The Baddies (Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan).
The angle happened after Cargill retained her TBS Championship against Jay when she got help from the debuting Stokely Hathaway, formerly known as Malcolm Bivens.
AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that both Athena and Hathaway have signed with the company. She reacted to her debut on Twitter by writing the following:
“On top of the world!!! Still can’t believe last night happened,” Athena tweeted on Monday. “Thank you .@aew for the extremely warm welcome. I promise you won’t be disappointed!! I’m on a whole ‘nother level now because I am #AllElite!! #FallenGoddess #TheAlpha.”
While with WWE, she had two stints in NXT and one main roster run including a reign as NXT Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship one time each. Athena was let go by WWE in November of last year.
