Most Badass Wrestlers In WWE History

World Wrestling Entertainment has provided us with non-stop extravaganza for decades now. It is arguably one of the pinnacles of modern-day entertainment – a stage where audiences are handed beer and skittles on a silver platter. The show would undoubtedly be lifeless without certain characters who spice things up with flamboyant displays, many of which turn out to be amusing for fans due to their cunning style of play.

Here we look at some of the sneakiest and dirtiest wrestlers in WWE history – the likes of who are some of the best entertainers out in the ring – in no particular order.

  • Mick Foley / Mankind

Mick Foley had many different versions of himself, including the bull-headed Cactus Jack and hippie Dude Love, but it was the sick and twisted alter ego Mankind who captured the attention of shocked audiences. He was a deranged character from the day he introduced himself to the square ring, infamously making moves such as sticking a filthy sock into opponents’ mouths. He was also known to speak to a sewer rat named George. Also, one can hardly forget the time when the legendary Undertaker threw the eccentric wrestler off the top of the cage in a Hell in a Cell encounter at the King of the Ring, between the two greats of the game. Insane was an understatement for the things Foley pulled off, literally sacrificing his body for the industry he loves. A true legend of the show.

  • Ric Flair

Often nicknamed as the ‘dirtiest player in the game’, Ric Flair was a pain in the posterior for his opponents through his entire career. The kind of wrestler who would do anything to keep his title, Flair would go to lengths to win at all costs – sometimes poking his opponents in the eyes and even jabbing them between the knees. A legend of the entertainment industry, he took pride in his shenanigans and never missed putting on a show. He gave pro wrestling a new touch of sneakiness with his antics in the ring, cheating his way to perfection in an era that was defined by his presence. He also served as an inspiration for other players in the game with his badass attitude that graced wrestling arenas from the early 1980’s to the 2000’s.

  • Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon truly came into the WWE spotlight during his famous clash against the bull-headed Stone Cold Steve Austin in the latter years of the 20th century. However, he was a legit badass even before then, bringing up feuds with Mankind and The Rock on numerous occasions. McMahon showed no hesitancy in making a fool out of himself throughout his WWE career on worldwide television. One can hardly picture anyone else as the ‘evil boss’ McMahon made himself out to be, forever etching himself into WWE history by becoming the greatest heel in the history of professional wrestling.

  • Edge

Edge used his presence of mind to outwit opponents at every giving opportunity. The ‘ultimate opportunist’ matured in certain aspects of the game over time, but nonetheless maintained his cheeky personality throughout his glittering wrestling career. The 6’5” star was nicknamed as such due to how he used the Money in the Bank briefcase to win world titles. He underwent a grueling career marred with numerous injuries. However, he never gave up and continued to entertain audiences with his trademark ‘spear’ finishing move. His duels against John Cena and Randy Orton for the championship titles will go down in history as one of the most entertaining wrestling encounters of all time.

Shawn Michaels had two faces throughout his professional wrestling career – first as an arrogant winner and then as a babyface who tried to upset all odds. And unsurprisingly, out of the two, it was the former that led him to becoming one of the game’s most hated men in the final decade of the 20th century. The Heartbreak Kid helped plan the Montreal Screwjob, one of or arguably the most controversial moment in WWE history, and infamously even knocked out his teammates during tag team matches. Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Mart Jannetty are few of the names Michaels took the pleasure of turning against. His ‘Sweet Chin Music’ will go down as one of the game’s greatest ever finishing moves, just for the way he pulled it off with dripping charisma.

Few other professional wrestlers that find themselves among the above-mentioned legends are Eddie Gurrero, Triple H, Chris Jericho, Randy Savage, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Bobby Heenan and Hulk Hogan.

These iconic artists etched a memorable era into the history books of professional wrestling, with their on-screen shenanigans that brought unsurmountable joy to the masses. Those days of WWE begets nostalgia among the fans of one of the greatest forms of entertainment in recent times. With the passage of time, audiences have also had the pleasure of grounding and familiarizing themselves with different forms of wrestling, such as Mixed Martial Arts, to which UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) belongs.

According to the best betting sites, enthusiasts of the wrestling genre have partly shifted to the entertainment of cage-styled fighting that mixed martial arts brings with it. With the aforementioned resource, one can learn a great deal regarding which betting markets to engage in and also gain knowledge regarding how to place one’s hand on their favorite sport, let alone wrestling and MMA. Horse racing, cricket, football, basketball etc. are few other games that one can indulge in. Players – whether old or new – can also benefit from a wide range of bonuses and rewards such as cashbacks, loyalty points, accumulator schemes and free bets.
