WWE Has No Plans For Lita After Elimination Chamber – Lita will work her first singles bout since 2006 this Saturday afternoon when she challenges Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Elimination Chamber event.
The former WWE Women’s Champion did an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated to promote the show. During it, she noted that there are currently no plans for her after Elimination Chamber.
“Currently, I was just asked to do this match. I know everything can change in WWE at the drop of a hat. There is a lot of opportunity here, and just because there are no current plans doesn’t mean there won’t be. This is also allowing me to focus on the task at hand, which is to put on a killer match and not focus on anything else except Elimination Chamber.”
Last night, during her in-ring promo with Becky Lynch on RAW (see below), Lita said that “she doesn’t just have one match left, she has a run left”. We will have to wait and see what the company has in store for Lita.
Since 2006 when she retired as a full-time star, Lita has worked a few multi-women matches, and even faced Heath Slater in a No DQ match in 2012. The WWE Hall Of Famer returned to work the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She previously stated that this bout with Lyn came together at the last minute.
