Nia Jax Reflects on Headlining WWE Elimination Chamber – Nia Jax spoke with Booker T on the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast. Here are the highlights:
On being in the main event of Elimination Chamber 2024 against WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley:
“I didn’t know until, I think the night before. I think somebody sent a card to me and I’m like, wait a minute. Does this mean that we’re in the main event? I’m not going to lie. It felt like a lot of pressure because you had some pretty stacked Elimination Chambers and a great tag on the card. Then you had the Grayson Waller Effect. Being the main event of that show was a pretty big deal for me and I just wanted to put on the best match I possibly could with a great story, you know, easy with Rhea Ripley, but I wanted to be able to tell a really good story to the fans and hope that it resonated to them. It was an honor to be in the main event in front of all those people.”
On if she foresees herself as having a big run as WWE Women’s Champion:
“Oh, yeah. I mean, that’s all I see. This time around, I feel like I’m way more focused. I was able to reset things and refocus my passion and my drive. I’m in one of the best shapes I’ve ever been in my life and I feel like this is the time for me to get on that monster run, to continue to dominate. I don’t even have the title and I’m dominating these girls. This division is one of the best divisions I’ve ever worked with as well. I am ready for that moment for holding that gold and just running right through that division.”
