We noted earlier tonight how a commercial aired during tonight’s Super SmackDown, hyping Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title in a singles match for Monday’s RAW, a match that was scheduled for Extreme Rules PPV.
In an update, WWE has confirmed that the match will indeed take place next Monday on RAW. It’s always possible that the match is added back to Extreme Rules with some sort of stipulation.
It was also confirmed that Finn Balor’s alter-ego The Demon will be challenging WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules.
As noted earlier, Finn Balor brought back The Demon at the end of tonight’s WWE Super SmackDown to confront Roman Reigns.
In an update, WWE has confirmed that Reigns will have to face The Demon when he puts the title on the line at Extreme Rules. Balor vs. Reigns was previously announced for the pay-per-view, but now it’s official that Balor’s alter-ego will be in action.
The 2021 WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view will take place on September 26 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
