NXT Results – June 15, 2021 – Tonight’s show begins with highlights from last night’s “Takeover: In Your House” event and with William Regal teasing that it’s time for big change to come to NXT.
We are live at the Capitol Wrestling Centre, as William Regal makes his way to the ring, ready to speak with a smile on his face.
Regal thanks everyone and just wants to get a few words off his chest. Regal gets a bit emotional as he talks about being with NXT from day one, starting at the announce table. He goes on about seeing NXT grow into an incredible product, traveling the world. Regal says there are a lot of things we don’t know about, but every moment not spent with his family has been spent thinking about making NXT into what it is, the place they wanted it to be, constantly working on that and trying to get everything as correct as possible, for every competitor, every announcer, but most of all for each and every fan.
Regal says he’s finally decided that with the recent chaos in NXT, he’s given all he can, and because of the fans, staff, competitors and viewers at home, Regal doesn’t think he’s capable of giving us what we deserve anymore. Regal thinks it’s time for him to… the music interrupts and out comes NXT Champion Karrion Kross with Scarlett.
Karrion says her and I knew this day would come but they didn’t know when. The moment we heard all that, we had to come out here to see it and feel it for ourselves. Kross asks Regal if he is crying. You are completely pathetic. One week ago, I told you that you lost control of this roster and you know what I was saying was true. At Takeover, when I punched a hole through the Mount Rushmore of NXT, you knew I could control this place through chaos and violence. Now we are here and I want you to say it. I want you to tell the people that you are leaving. Then I want you to walk your ass up that aisle and never come back. Say that Kross was right!
Before Regal can respond, Samoa Joe’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Joe tells Mr. Regal that he wanted to speak with him. Regal says he wanted to talk to him, but not in these circumstances. Because of my love for NXT, I think everyone deserves a general manager that can hold the position with the integrity and dedication it deserves. That is why I want you to be the new General Manager. I cannot do this any more.
Joe says his answer is absolutely not. I will explain why. I know you are weary and it is worn on you. In the 7 years that you have been on NXT, you have scoured the planet and found the best talent. You made this brand an international phenomenon. You have cast a large shadow and your shoes are hard to fill. I made your life hell while I was here, but I showed you respect. I will ensure that you receive respect from everybody.
Regal says that is an interesting idea and if that is something that I am willing to do, there are some conditions. You cannot be a competitor. You cannot lay a hand on anyone… unless provoked. Fans boo and then pop. Joe says he accepts Regal’s offer, which only leads one more question to be answered. Joe steps closer to Kross and asks why he’s still in this ring. “Tick, tock… young champion,” Joe says to Kross. Fans chant “Joe’s gonna kill you!” now as Kross makes his exit with Scarlett. Kross heads to the back as fans sing goodbye to he and Scarlett. Joe’s music starts back up as he and Regal shake hands in the middle of the ring. Vic declares that Joe is back in NXT.
