Concerns Arise Over NXT Being 'Picked Dry' in WWE Draft

Concerns Arise Over NXT Being ‘Picked Dry’ in WWE Draft – WWE will include the NXT brand alongside Raw and SmackDown for this year’s Draft, where they will be talent called up while main roster talent will go down to NXT.

Fightful reports NXT names were intentionally hidden from the pools to keep it a surprise. There is a draft party being held for fans at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

Some people in NXT are not too optimistic, as talent, and sources in the brand noted, “There is a fear that NXT may be ‘picked dry’ in the Draft, as the brand has been in years prior.” It was said there is concern about many wrestlers not knowing their status.

It was said, “This has led to the concern that WWE will be calling talent up without a plan, which has been a heavy criticism of NXT call-ups in recent years.” There have also been reservations about how some talent may take the move as a demotion.

It should be noted that one source said they believe there are several main roster talents who would benefit from a run on NXT. Several main roster sources said that NXT should have plenty of star power the move to the CW Network.
