WWE TLC Results – December 20, 2020 – The WWE TLC Kickoff pre-show opens live from The ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida as Charly Caruso welcomes us. She’s joined by Peter Rosenberg, Booker T and Jeff Jarrett. The panel hypes tonight’s matches and Charly sends us to a video package for the WWE Universal Title match.

Peter says AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre is the match he is excited for the most tonight. Charly says she is looking forward to the Firefly Inferno Match. Booker says he is looking forward to Carmella versus Sasha.

We have a video package for the Universal Title Match between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns.

We take a look at what happened on Talking Smack between Kevin Owens and Paul Heyman. Charly asks if Kevin is willing to do anything to win. Jarrett says pain is temporary and regret can last a lifetime. Someone walks out the champ and someone walks out regretting being in the match. Peter says he respects KO but he has been getting beaten up over the last few weeks. He does not know if Kevin has a chance. Booker says when you come from nothing, you don’t want to go back there. You will do anything not just for yourself, but for your family. Owens is in a different mind space than Roman. Jarrett says that the situation between Paul and Roman and the focus on keeping the title, it will be interesting to see if Kevin will regret tonight. Kevin is trying to build his legacy and he will put a notch in the positive or the negative.

We take a look at the Smackdown Women’s Title Match between Carmella and Sasha Banks.

Charly talks about how Carmella thinks she is inside Sasha’s head. Booker says she is not in Sasha’s head because Sasha is cool, calm, and collected. Booker says Sasha is one of the best she has seen in the ring as far as the women goes. Since Carmella has come back, she has done a lot of talking but she will need to prove it in the ring. Jarrett says Carmella has two receipts coming for her. Jarrett says Sasha has had the attitude and jabs. We have us a showdown tonight. Peter mentions that Carmella is a former Champion and she has won Money in the Bank. To be in the conversation, she needs to prove it. Charly mentions that Carmella feels that she is bigger than Sasha.

We move on to the Raw Tag TItle Match.

We go to the EVP of the Hurt Business, MVP in the back.

He is asked what it would mean to add the tag titles. MVP says it is destiny fulfilled. Shelton has a past as a champion and Cedric has the pedigree to be a champion. Peter asks what advice would he give to Shelton and Cedric. MVP says he is directing traffic out there because Shelton is a former tag champion. The New Day act like clowns out there but they are ten time champions. In the ring, they are exceptional. Every new day must end in night. The only NEW they will be talking about are the NEW Tag Team Champions.

Booker asks if he has had THE TALK with Cedric. MVP says we have seen the re-emergence of Cedric and we have seen his viciousness. He has that attack in him now. We are seeing a new Cedric Alexander.

We move on to the WWE Championship match.

Charly mentions the other potential participants with Omos, Sheamus, and Miz getting involved. Jarrett calls them the intangibles. Who is more experienced at climbing the ladder?

Miz and John Morrison show up at the table.

Miz says if the opportunity presents itself, I will take that chance. If it doesn’t, I will not. Morrison says there is a lot ot lose tonight. Morrison brings up the Universal Title Match as well. Miz says they both know how valuable the briefcase is. Jarrett asks about Omos and his input into the match. Miz says just being out there, it makes him a factor. Miz says Drew has been unstoppable and people have asked why hasn’t he cashed in but Drew has been very tough in the ring. Miz says he was one of AJ’s first opponents in WWE and he knows the talent that both of them have. Miz says that he is confident and says he plans to cash in at the right time. Could it be tonight? Yes. Could it be tomorrow? Yes. Could it be a few months down the road? Yes. When I cash in, I will become champion.

Charly mentions the Women’s Tag Title Match and we have a video package.

Charly asks who do they think will be Asuka’s partner. Jarrett has no idea and then… R Truth shows up and Jarrett suggests that Truth be his partner. Truth says he had one of his WWJD (What Would JohnCena Do). He says he will be Asuka’s tag champ. He says there are many reasons she should pick him. He speaks Japanese. He has had more title reigns than anyone in WWE history. Booker was a 5 time… but Truth says he is 45 time.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves are at ringside for our Kickoff Show Match.

Chad Gable, Otis, Daniel Bryan, and Big E vs. Sami Zayn, King Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro

We go to the ring and Michael Cole welcomes us. He’s joined at ringside by Corey Graves. Out first comes Daniel Bryan for tonight’s eight-man match. Otis and Chad Gable are out next. Out next comes Big E with his chalk entrance. King Baron Corbin is out first for his team, accompanied by The Knights of The Lone Wolf – Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler. Cesaro is out next, followed by Shinsuke Nakamura. They head to the ring together. WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn is out last.

Corbin finally starts off with Big E after some trash talking with Sami. They go to the corner and break. Big E rocks Corbin with an elbow but Corbin clotheslines him. Big E ends up slamming Corbin with a belly-to-belly suplex. Cesaro and Gable tag in now. They go to the mat and trade holds. Cesaro with a right hand. Cesaro catches Gable in mid-move but Gable keeps fighting, tossing him with arm drags. Bryan tags in as Gable holds Cesaro’s arm. Bryan comes off the middle rope with an ax handle.

Bryan works Cesaro into the corner now. Bryan with kicks and more focus on the arm. Cesaro tangles with Bryan but Bryan runs and clotheslines him. Cesaro catches a kick. Bryan rolls a submission off and they get back to their feet. Cesaro takes Bryan against the ropes and Nakamura kicks him in the back of the head. Nakamura and Cesaro with some double teaming on Bryan now. Nakamura comes in for a 2 count.

Zayn tags himself in and takes over on Bryan. Sami drops Bryan and taunts the others. Sami keeps talking trash and takes Bryan to the corner. Corbin tags in and decks Bryan while Sami holds him. Corbin works Bryan around and has words with Otis. Corbin ties Bryan in the ropes and works him over. Sami comes in and Big E tries to stop him but he’s backed out. Sami sends Bryan to the corner and Corbin tags right back in. Corbin takes Bryan to the top for a superplex but Bryan headbutts him to the mat and hits a missile dropkick.

Sami runs over and pulls Big E off the apron. Big E chases him but he hops over the barrier and retreats. Big E turn around to a shot from Cesaro. Gable takes Cesaro down. Nakamura and Otis tag in and go at it in the ring. Otis with a splash in the corner to Nakamura. More back and forth now. Gable gets involved but Nakamura ends up dropping them both with big kicks. Cesaro tags in and they hit the big double team kick from the corner and powerbomb. Otis breaks up Cesaro’s pin. Otis sends Nakamura to the floor. Corbin with a Spinebuster to Otis. Bryan with a running knee to Corbin. Cesaro with a huge uppercut to Bryan. Gable rolls Cesaro and then turns it into a big German suplex.

Sami had been hiding but now he’s on the apron to tag in. Gable counters the Blue Thunderbomb and tags in Big E. Sami has no one to tag. Big E grabs Sami but he slides out and hits a big boot. Big E blocks the Helluva Kick with a big Uranage. Big E scoops Sami and hits the Big Ending in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winners: Big E, Daniel Bryan, Otis, Chad Gable

We return to the panel to talk about the Firefly Inferno Match.

Charly says she believes Randy knows what he is getting into.  How do you match up with someone supernatural like The Fiend. Peter says he has no idea what you do with the Fiend.  Randy is a tough SOB, but this is a different thing alltogether.  Booker has no idea what to do.  Jarrett says this match is appropriate for 2020.

WWE Championship Match: Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match

We see the WWE Title belt hanging high above the ring as AJ Styles makes his way out with Omos. There are tables, ladders and chairs all over the venue. AJ hits the ring and poses with Omos as we get a video package for this match. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is out next with his sword. Drew stops and stares at AJ and Omos in the ring, then stabs the sword in the ground as more pyro goes off. Drew marches to the ring.

AJ with a drop kick to the knee and he goes for the leg.  Drew misses a splash into the corner and Styles with a chop.  Drew with a suplex throw.  Drew with a chop in the corner followed by a biel.  Drew with a chop.  Drew with a hard Irish whip.  Drew with another hard Irish whip and Drew with punches to AJ followed by a stomp to the leg.  Drew with a kick to the midsection but AJ with a punch to the throat.  Drew with a back body drop.  Drew sets for a Claymore but AJ gets his boot up in the corner.  Drew chops AJ off the turnbuckles and he barely misses going through a table.

Drew sends AJ into a ladder against the announce table.  Drew throws a chair into the ring and then he puts a table over AJ.  Drew sends AJ’s head into the table.  Drew tries for a suplex through a table but AJ blocks it and Drew blocks a punch and connects with a forearm.  Drew hot shots AJ onto the ringside barrier.  Drew asks Omos to move and Omos does not.  AJ is sent into chairs on top of a table.  Drew gets AJ on his shoulders and he drops AJ onto the ringside barrier.  Drew grabs a ladder and brings it into the ring. 

Drew sets up the ladder in the center of the ring and Drew starts to climb.  AJ hits Drew in the back of the injured leg with a chair.  Drew falls to the mat.  AJ holds his back and decides not to climb the ladder at this time.  AJ hits Drew with a chair.  AJ puts a chair in the turnbuckles.  Drew avoids being sent into the chair in the turnbuckles and Drew catapults AJ but AJ lands on the ladder and he starts to climb but Drew stops AJ and then Drew tries for a power bomb but AJ with a sunset flip.  Drew catapults AJ into the chair in the turnbuckles.

Drew starts to climb the ladder but AJ throws a chair at Drew and Drew goes down a few rungs.  AJ hits Drew in the back of the knee and Drew falls to the mat.  AJ sends Drew into the ladder and then AJ pushes the ladder onto Drew.  AJ with an enzuigiri to Drew.  AJ sets for the Styles Clash onto the ladder but Drew escapes and he hits a Future Shock DDT.  Drew grabs the ladder and he suplexes it onto AJ..  AJ hits Drew in the knee a few times.  AJ puts the leg in the ladder and AJ with a Calf Crusher in the ladder.

AJ kicks Drew and he picks up a chair and hits Drew in the back with it.  AJ hits Drew again with the chair in the back and then he targets the leg.  AJ puts the leg in the chair and he applies a Calf Crusher.  Drew sends AJ into the ladder on the mat.  AJ holds on to the ladder and Drew blocks AJ and Drew tries to send the ladder into AJ in the corner but AJ gets out of the way.  AJ kicks Drew in the back of the leg and then wrings it into the ring post.  AJ punches Drew and then AJ grabs a ladder and hits Drew in the face with it.  

AJ kicks Drew while AJ moves some chairs off a table.  AJ sits down and then he punches Drew.  AJ puts Drew on a table and he punches Drew.  AJ looks around and he goes back into the ring.  AJ goes up the ladder against the turnbuckles but he takes too long and Drew throws a chair at AJ.  Drew sends the table into the ring.  Drew sets up the table and Drew with an elbow to AJ.  AJ with a drop toe hold onto the ladder against the turnbuckles.  

AJ avoids the table on an Irish whip and AJ kicks the table into Drew.  Drew catches AJ on a forearm off the table and Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex into the ladder in the corner.  AJ with a forearm from the apron and a second one.  AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm and hits it but AJ is unable to capitalize since no ladder is currently set up in the ring.

Drew climbs the ladder but Miz makes his way to the ring and he punches Drew in the back of the leg.  Morrison has the briefcase and Drew is power bombed off the ladder through a table.  Morrison gives the referee the briefcase and the cash in is official! Announcers say this is now a 3-way TLC Match.

Miz stands at the bottom of the ladder and Miz takes his time to climb the ladder.  Omos grabs Miz and holds him like a baby.  Omos drops Miz through the table on the floor.  Morrison has a chair and he hits Omos in the back and the chair’s seat falls off and the chair bends.  Morrison decides it is smart to leave the ring.  Omos follows after Morrison.  Omos walks after Morrison as if he Jason Voorhees and they go to the back.  Drew is down in the ring while Miz and AJ are on the floor.  

AJ gets to his feet first and he gets back into the ring.  Drew cannot get back to his feet but he is able to fall into the ladder.  Drew and AJ climb the ladder at the same time.  Drew has the belt but AJ hits Drew in the knee.  Drew punches AJ from above on the ladder.  AJ punches Drew as Drew tries to take the belt off the hook.  Miz gets a ladder and puts it next to Drew and AJ’s ladder.  AJ kicks Drew in the knee.  Miz climbs the ladder but Drew punches Miz.  Drew knocks AJ off the ladder with a head butt.  Drew sends Miz’ head into the top of the ladder but Miz does the same to Drew.  Drew pushes Miz off the ladder.

AJ leaps onto the ladder and stops Drew from getting the belt.  AJ and Drew exchange punches.  Drew falls off the ladder and hits the top rope.  Miz punches AJ as AJ grabs the ladder.  AJ punches Miz.  Drew pushes Miz and AJ off the ladder and they hit the roeps.  Drew with a Claymore to Miz.  Drew sets up the ladder and he hops to the top and gets the belt.

Winner:  Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew raises the WWE Title belt high up on the ladder as fans cheer him on and his music hits. We go to replays. Drew continues his celebration.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is in the back and she is with Paul Heyman to talk about the Universal Championship Match.  Kayla asks Paul about Kevin’s comments on Friday night and does that change Roman’s preparation.  Paul says he should just reveal their strategy.   Paul says he is a sports fan and he likes NASCAR.  He does not care who wins.  He enjoys the car crashes.  This is a dangerous enough profession.  People get hurt.  People will be thrown off ladders through table.  Chairs are encouraged and legal.  Someone is going to get hurt BAD tonight and that someone is Kevin Owens.  Kevin is going to get hurt at the purposeful hands of your tribal chief, the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns.  That is not a prediction, that is a spoiler.

Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks vs. Carmella

The bell rings and Carmella goes to the floor to make sure her gear is properly adorned on her body.  Sasha pulls Carmella into the ring and Carmella with a forearm to the back and she splashes Sasha’s back.  Sasha trips Carmella and pulls her to the apron and sends her face first into the apron.  Sasha with an arm drag on the floor followed by forearms.  They return to the ring and Sasha gets a near fall.  Carmella with a slap.  Sasha sends Carmella through the ropes and Reginald catches Carmella.  Sasha misses a splash off the apron and Reginald helps Carmella with a head scissors and she sends Sasha into the ring steps.  They return to the ring and Carmella gets a near fall.

Carmella sends Sasha into the corner and kicks Sasha many times.  Carmella with a bronco buster and she gets a near fall.  Carmella with a rear chin lock.  Sasha with a snap mare and running double knee strike for a near fall.  Carmella sends Sasha to the apron but Sasha brings Carmella to the apron but Carmella is able to drop Sasha on the apron.  Carmella gets a near fall.  Sasha with a back breaker.  Sasha blocks a kick and she kicks Carmella.  Sasha with a running double knee strike in the corner followed by a suplex and she holds on and rolls through for the Three Amigos.

Sasha goes up top and tries for a frog splash and hits it for a near fall.  Sasha tells Carmella she is the boss but Carmella backs Sasha into the corner.  Carmella with elbows in the corner.  Sasha with a round kick and she goes to the turnbuckles but rolls through when Carmella moves.  Carmella with a X Factor for a near fall.  Carmella with more near falls.  Carmella runs Sasha into the turnbuckles.  Carmella with a head scissors in the ropes and then she chokes Sasha in the ropes.  Sasha slaps Carmella.  Carmella with forearms to the back.  Carmella with a thrust kick and she returns to the ring and gets a near fall when Sasha grabs the ropes to stop the count.

Sasha with a double leg nelson for a near fall.  Sasha pulls Carmella into the turnbuckles.  Sasha pulls Carmella onto the turnbuckles and Carmella with forearms.  Carmella with a Frankensteiner but Sasha rolls through and gets a near fall.  Carmella with a near fall.  Sasha with a backslide for a near fall.  Sasha with a jackknife cover for a near fall.  Carmella with Code of SIlence.  Sasha escapes and goes for Banks Statement but Carmella avoids it and she applies a double arm submission and Sasha with a rollup for a near fall.  Carmella misses a Bronco Buster and Sasha with Banks Statement.

Reginald the bodyguard pulls Carmella from the ring.  Sasha with Meteora onto Reginald.  Carmella with a round kick and a second one on the floor.  Carmella rolls Sasha into the ring and gets a near fall.  Carmella yells at Sasha and Sasha with Banks Statement and Carmella taps out.

Winner:  Sasha Banks

After the match, Banks sits up and smiles as the music hits and the referee hands her the title. Banks raises the title in the middle of the ring as we go to replays. An upset Carmella sells the submission from ringside as Banks raises the title on the ramp, making her exit.

Backstage:

Asuka is in the back and Billie Kay says she knew Sasha would retain the title.  She says she should add clairvoyant to her resume and she gives Asuka her head shot and resume.  She says she would be a great partner against Nia and Sasha.  She says she is proficient in Japanese. Asuka says something in Japanese that Billie does not understand.  Billie says she has her own mask. Asuka tells Billie the position has been filled and you are not ready for Asuka.

Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day vs. The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander)

The Hurt Business make their way to the ring. Before they made their entrance, we head to the gorilla position where Charly Caruso is with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Charly asks how will this match be different than their last tag title defense.  Kofi says it won’t be.  Xavier says the New Day has no ceilings.  Cedric and Shelton are going to face the Big Game New Day.

The bell rings and Cedric runs into a thrust kick and Kofi gets a near fall.  Kofi with a side Russian leg sweep and Woods with a leg drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Kofi tags in and Kofi with a shoudler and springboard cross body for a near fall.  Kofi with a snap mare and kick followed by a sliding clothesline from Woods.  Kofi with a springboard splash and Woods with a side slam for a near fall.  Alexander kicks Woods and tags in Shelton.  Benjamin with a clothesline and suplex for a near fall.   MVP gives Cedric some water while Shelton hits a spinebuster for a near fall.  

Woods with a rolling elbow and drop toe hold.  Kofi tags in and Woods with a splash to the back and he takes care of Alexander on the floor.  Kofi with a cross body for a near fall.  Kofi kicks Shelton and Woods tags in.  Kofi with a pescado onto Alexander while Woods hits a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Woods with a chop and Irish whip but Woods is sent to the apron.  Benjamin with a knee and then he sends Woods face first into the turnbuckle.  Alexander tags in and kicks Woods in the back.  

Alexander gets a near fall.  Alexander with a rear chin lock with his knee in Woods’ back.  Benjamin tags in and he kicks Woods in the shoulder.  Benjamin continues to work on the arm.  Alexander tags in and he applies a nerve hold.  Woods with elbows but Alexander with a forearm.  Alexander goes for Neuralizer but Woods with a round kick to stop Alexander and both men are down.  Benjamin and Kofi tag in and Kofi with a springboard chop followed by a clothesline and chops.  Kofi with a jumping clothesline followed by a kick to Alexander.  That delay allows Benjamin to catch Kofi on a Boom DRop.  Kofi avoids Alexander and hits SOS for a near fall.

Kofi sets for Trouble in Paradise but he misses.Kofi lands on his feet when Alexander goes for a belly-to-back suplex.  Alexander with a knee and brainbuster for a near fall.  Benjamin with a boot to Woods followed by a Neuralizer and Paydirt.  Benjamin tags in and Kofi avoids an Olympic slam and hits a drop kick.  Kofi kicks Alexander and hits a Pendulum kick on Benjamin.  Kofi goes up top and Shelton punches Kofi to stop him.  They fight on the turnbuckles and Kofi knocks Benjamin to the mat.  Benjamin punches Kofi and sets for a front face lock superplex and Alexander tags himself in as Benjamin sets up to finish off Kofi.  Alexander with the Lumbar Check for the three count.

Winners and NEW RAW Tag Team Champions: The Hurt Business

After the match, Bobby Lashley comes out to celebrate with the new champions.

Backstage:

Sami Zayn and Kayla Braxton are in the back and Sami yells at Kayla for leaking that audio.  Sami says he is under a lot of pressure.  He asks who sent her the audio.  Kayla says a journalist doesn’t reveal her sources.  Sami says he is the only one with ethics around here.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka and Charlotte Flair

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler make their way to the ring. Asuka is next… She poses on the turnbuckle as Charlotte Flair’s Music play and she makes her way to the ring! She is Asuka’s partner. The crowd pops and Flair is all smiles. The champs are shocked.

Asuka and Shayna start things off and Asuka goes for the leg but Shayna with a waist lock.  Asuka with a standing switch.  Shayna escapes and kicks Asuka in the chest a few times.  Shayna misses a round kick and Asuka with kicks of her own.  Shayna blocks a kick but Asuka with a cross arm breaker.  Shayna escapes and she tries to stomp on the arm but misses.  Charlotte wants the tag and Asuka obliges.  Charlotte with a clothesline and she tries for the figure four leg lock but Shayna kicks Charlotte.  Charlotte wants to face Nia and Shayna tags her in.

Charlotte with a waist lock and Nia backs Charlotte into the corner.  Charlotte with a side head lock and shoulder tackle but Nia does not move.  Asuka tags in and Asuka with a back elbow and codebreaker.  Asuka with a hip attack into teh corner and Nia with a forearm as Asuka goes to the turnbuckles.  Asuka goes for a sunset flip and Nia picks Asuka up and connects with a head butt.  Asuka is sent into the ring post by Nia and Shayna tags in and Shayna stomps on the arm.  

Shayna with a wrist lock and she turns the wrist in angles it should not go.  Asuka with a rollup for a near fall.  Shayna with a shoulder tackle.  Shayna sends Asuka into the turnbuckles and Nia tasg in and pulls Asuka into the ring post.  Nia Irish whips Asuka into the ringside barrier.   Shayna tags in and she punches Asuka in the ribs.  Shayna with a double wrist lock and she tries for a suplex but Asuka blocks it.  Asuka with kicks but Shayna blocks a kick and sends Asuka to the mat and gets a near fall.  Asuka is sent to the floor and Nia tags in.  Asuka tries to send Nia into the ring post but Nia blocks it.  Asuka with a back fist and they return to the ring. 

Asuka kicks Nia and Shayna pulls Charlotte off the apron.  Charlotte punches Shayna and tags in.  Charlotte with chops.  We see Charlotte’s father, Ric Flair in the gorilla position.  Charlotte with a knee to the head followed by a fallaway slam to Shayna.  Charlotte blocks a kick and connects with forearm and then drops a knee to the leg in the ropes.  Charlotte with a boot for a near fall.  Charlotte goes up top and hits moonsault on Shayna and Nia on the floor.  Charlotte sends Nia into the ring.

Charlotte tries for the figure four but Nia kicks Charlotte into the turnbuckles.  Charlotte avoids the Samoan drop and Nia hits a Samoan drop but Asuka makes the tag.  Asuka with a missile drop kick and Shayna tags in.  Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock but Shayna with a Kirifuda Clutch.  Charlotte tags in and Charlotte with a back breaker and she sends Shayna into the turnbuckles.  Charlotte with a boot to Nia.  Shayna with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Charlotte with a figure four and she bridges.  Nia pulls Charlotte down and Asuka with a hip attack to Nia.

Shayna wiht a Kirifuda Clutch and Charlotte rolls through to get a near fall.  Charlotte with Natural Selection for the three count.

Winners and NEW Women’s Tag Team Champions:  Charlotte Flair and Asuka

After the match, we see Ric Flair watching in the back and he’s all smiles. Flair and Asuka stand tall together in the middle of the ring as fans cheer them on. Flair’s music hits and they hit the corners to pose.

Backstage:

Sami Zayn is in the back with Big E and R Truth. Sami says that he knew it was Big E who leaked the audio. Big E says he did not leak the audio. Truth talks about his own conspiracy theories. Sami says he is the Intercontinental Champion while Big E is treading water since he went solo. Truth realizes that Sami went too far and he backs off while Big E says he will see Sami soon.

 Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match

Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring accompanied by Paul Heyman. Owens attacks Roman out of nowhere while the belt is raised above the ring and the match is underway!

Owens with punches followed by a cannonball.  Roman goes to the floor and Owens sends Roman into the ringside barrier.  Owens with a cannonball into Roman against the ringside barrier.

Owens with a splash off the apron onto Roman.  Owens brings the ladder into the ring.  Owens punches Jey Uso when he tries to interfere.  Owens gets a chair and hits Jey with it.  Owens hits Jey in the back and then he hits Roman in the back with the chair.

Jey with a punch to Owens and he tries for a super kick but Owens hits Jey in the foot with the chair.  Owens hits Jey in the leg with the chair and then he puts the chair around Jey’s ankle and Owens stomps on the chair.  Roman with a drive by to Owens.  Roman drops the hood of the announce table onto Owens while Jey is helped to the back.  Roman picks up the ring steps and he hits Owens with it.  Roman hits Owens a second and third time.  Roman is not done and hits Owens two more times with the ring steps before Roman tosses them aside like they were made of paper.

Roman sends Owens into the ring and then Roman brings a tiny ladder into the ring and hits Owens with it.  Roman swings and hits Owens with the ladder a few times.  Roman drives the ladder into Owens’ midsection and then he kicks Owens.  Roman brings chairs into the ring.  Roman hits Owens in the back with the chair.  Owens swings wildly to keep Roman away but that does not work and Roman drives the chair into the chest.  It’s a Chairshot festival!

Roman htis Owens with the chair again.  Owens punches Roman.  Roman with a punch and Owens bounces off the ropes and Roman tries to get Owens up but Owens escapes and tries for a power bomb but Roman blocks that.

Roman with a back body drop that sends Owens onto a chair.  Roman starts to climb the ladder but Owens hits Roman in the back of the leg with a chair and then he hits Roman in the back.  Owens with a fisherman’s suplex onto the chair.  Owens climbs the ladder and Jey Uso is back and he pulls Owens off the ladder.  Owens and Jey with punches but Owens with kicks and punches.  Owens with punches and Roman with a Superman punch to Owens.

Jey gets a table and brings it into the ring.   Uso brings a second table into the ring.  Jey sets up a table while Roman kicks Kevin.  Roman sets up his own table in the corner.  Roman stands on Kevin’s head.  Owens kicks Jey and hits a super kick.  Owens with a stunner to Roman and eveyrone is down.  Roman falls to the floor and Owens sets up a ladder in the ring.  Paul Heyman is shocked!

Jey pulls Owens to the floor but Owens with a pop up power bomb through the table. Owens puts many things on top of Jey Uso under the announce table.  Owens returns to the ring and he climbs the ladder.  Roman climbs the other side of the ladder and Owens punches Roman.  Roman punches back.  Roman with a rake of the eyes and they return to the mat.  Roman punches Owens.  Owens has a super kick blocked and Roman power bombs Owens onto a ladder.  

Roman sets up the ladder on its side and Owens is given a back drop driver onto the ladder. Roman pick up Owens on the floor and choke slams Owens through a table.   Roman picks up one of the annoucner’s chairs and drops it on Owens.  Roman with a Samaon drop through a table.  Roman returns to the ring and he starts to climb the ladder.  Roman is at the top of the ladder but Owens has his hand on Roman’s ankle.  Roman laughs at Kevin’s heart.  Roman tells Kevin he is embarrassing his family.  Roman slaps Owens but Owens slams Owens back.  Roman runs Owens through the table in the corner with a terrific spear.  Owens falls to the floor.

Kevin tells Roman he is going to have to kill him.  Roman sets to spear Owens through the ringside barrier but Owens moves and Roman knocks down the ringside barrier.  Owens climbs the ladder.  but Roman pulls Owens off the ladder.  Roman sends Owens into the ladder.  Owens with two super kicks and Roman with a Superman punch to blocks the pop up power bomb.  Owens with a pop up power bomb through the table and Roman rolls to the floor.

Owens climbs the ladder and he has the belt but Jey Uso is at the top of the ladder with Kevin.  Owens with head butts to Jey and then Owens with a stunner to Uso.   Owens is on the top of the ladder and Roman with a punch to the ding ding.  Roman with a guillotine on top of the ladder.  Owens passes out and falls to the mat as Roman grabs the title belt for the win.

Winner:  Roman Reigns

After the match, Reigns grabs the title and raises it as his music hits. Reigns comes down to join Uso and Heyman as we go to replays. A disappointed and destroyed Owens is sitting up on the floor at ringside. Reigns stands tall with the title as we go to a break.

— They Announces The 2021 WWE Royal Rumble for January 31th. They also announces Sami Zayn vs. Big E for next week’s Smackdown. It will be for the Intercontinental Title.

Bray Wyatt tells us the whole story between him and Randy Orton.

Firefly Inferno Match: The Fiend vs. Randy Orton

We go back to the arena and Mike Rome is in the ring with the rules. The only way to win the first-ever Firefly Inferno Match is to light any part of your opponent on fire. Out first comes Randy Orton wearing street clothes. Orton hits the corner to pose as the pyro goes off. The Firefly Fun House music starts up next. We see Orton waiting in the ring as the virtual crowd starts to shut down. The lights now go down and the arena is black. The red lights come up as the unique entrance of “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt begins. The Fiend heads to the ring with his head lantern as Orton seethes in the ring.

The bell rings and the lights come back up as they stare each other down. Fiend plays games with Orton and laughs at him to start. Orton keeps punching but Fiend just laughs. Fiend blocks the RKO and goes to work on Orton, beating him down and unloading in the corner. Fiend with a headbutt and more offense. Orton blocks Sister Abigail and nails a dropkick.

Fiend takes back control and rakes Orton’s face over the top rope. They run the ropes and Fiend launches himself for the crossbody. Orton fights out of Sister Abigail again, turning it into a backbreaker. They go on and the flames start shooting up from the ringside area. The Firefly Inferno has begun.

They go to the floor as Fiend continues to dominate Orton. There are also flames all around the other side of the barrier. Fiend tries to put Orton in the flames but he fights him off. Fiend drops Orton at ringside and the flames shoot up. Fiend grabs a strap and starts whipping Orton with it at ringside. Fiend catches the strap on fire now as fans pop. He charges and swings but Orton moves. Orton fights Fiend off and tries to burn him with flames that are next to the announce table. Fiend blocks it and sends him into the ring post.

Fiend grabs a pick axe from under the ring and swings it but Orton dodges it. Fiend goes back to work on Orton and sends him into the ring post. Fiend brings the Wyatt rocking chair over and douses it in gasoline. He then pours a trail of gas from the chair to Orton. Fiend tries to toss Orton into barrier flames and then sends him into the steel steps again. Fiend places Orton in the rocking chair now. Fiend walks over to the gasoline trail and pulls out a lighter. He lights the trail and it leads to the chair but Orton jumps out of the chair before it can ignite him. Fiend just laughs.

Orton attacks with half of the steel steps and then the axe handle. Orton drives the steps into Fiend’s face again, and again as flames shoot up from the barrier. Orton pulls out a chain and wraps it around his fist, punishing Fiend with it. Orton wraps the chain around Fiend’s neck and tries to push him into the flames but Fiend escapes. Fiend returns to the ring and Orton follows with the chain. Fiend drops him in the middle of the ring with a big Uranage.

Fiend approaches Orton and snaps his neck. Fiend tosses Orton back to the floor. Fiend lights the axe handle on fire and swings it but Orton avoids it and decks Fiend. Orton with the draping DDT from the apron to the floor. Orton pounds the ground to signal for the RKO. Fiend slowly gets up. Fiend blocks the RKO and applies the Mandible Claw.

Fiend tries to push Orton back into the flames. Orton turns it around and tries to push Fiend in the flames. Fiend’s jacket catches on fire, as do his pants.

Winner:  Randy Orton

Orton returns to the ring as Fiend is on fire at ringside. The Fiend runs back into the ring, right at Orton while he’s on fire. Orton drops him with the RKO. Fiend is laying face-down now as the flames on his body start to go out. The flames around the ringside area are still going. Orton rolls Fiend over with his boot and looks a bit disturbed at what has happened. Orton rolls to the floor and grabs the can of gasoline now.

Orton returns to the ring and pours gasoline over The Fiend. He then strikes a match and hold sit over Fiend, letting it burn. Orton finally drops the match and The Fiend’s entire body goes up in flames. The flames all around the ringside area start shooting up in the air, over and over. Orton rolls out of the ring and stands at ringside as the flames keep shooting up. The Fiend’s body burns in the middle of the ring. Orton does his signature pose while the flames rage as WWE TLC goes off the air.
