Four Possible Matches For WWE TLC – On Friday night, fans were given the strong impression that Kevin Owens would be next in line to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
On Saturday’s Talking Smack, Paul Heyman referred to Owens as the number 1 contender so that match is somehow confirmed without WWE officially making the announcement.
Four matches seems to be locked in at this point. So anything else that is playing out in storylines right now may or may not pay off at the WWE TLC pay-per-view.
The matches are Owens vs. Reigns for the Universal Title, Jey Uso vs. Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt and Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka & Lana.
Bryan said last week on Talking Smack that he was not happy with a roll-up win over Uso so he was already hinting at a rematch a week ago. Several weeks ago we heard that Lana would be involved in a Tables Match at TLC. It’s not clear if the Tables stipulation is still planned for her match but she is supposed to put Jax through a table at some point.
Drew McIntyre’s opponent will be determined tomorrow night on Raw. The original plan was for Braun Strowman to face McIntyre for the WWE Championship. Click here for news on why those plans changed.
Based on current storylines, Sasha Banks defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Carmella is possible for the pay-per-view as well as Bayley vs. Bianca Belair. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode pinned SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits this week so that’s also a possibility for the pay-per-view.
