Former WWE Superstar Talks About His Ribs Broken by John Cena in a RAW Match

Gene Snitsky, the former WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) star recently made a startling statement that John Cena, the 16 time World Champion had broken his ribs during a Monday Night WWE Raw match back in the year 2005. But he also insisted that he doesn’t hold any grudge against the superstar and overall considers him a nice guy.

Just like popular sports such as football, basketball, cricket, tennis etc., WWE also attracts a great amount of betting activity from different parts of the world, and WWE stars like John Cena, Gene Snitsky and others are held in high regard by WWE fans around the globe.

How it happened
In an interview to The Hannibal TV, Gene Snitsky said while replying to a question that he found it cool wrestling John Cena and that they fought quite a few times. Thereafter he mentioned that John actually broke his ribs performing a side slam and bringing 250 pounds of his weight on Snitsky’s ribs. He still has some calcification on his ribs and jokes around telling people that John Cena did it to him. However, he clarified that he finds John to be a good guy.

Throwing some more light on the incident, it occurred when both of them went up against each other in 2005, with Cena being a part of the Red Band, and not on good terms with Chris Jericho. Despite the fact that Jericho tried his level best to make Snitsky win that bout, Cena was the one who came out on top.

More on Snitsky and Cena
Gene Snitsky became a part of WWE in 2005 and was a big rival of Kane. He had requested the company to release him and the same was allowed without any hassles. He stayed active on the independent scene post his release from WWE, and was a part of Impact Wrestling too for some time. He formally retired from wrestling last year and John Cena has also become a rare commodity in the world of WWE. The American fighter who had been a part of WWE industry for almost two decades is now pursuing a thriving acting career in Hollywood. Such has been his schedule that he could compete in only two fights in 2019 and hasn’t made an appearance on the WWE TV since RAW Reunion Special on July 22. Regardless, he clarified recently that he’ll never retire from WWE despite Hollywood success.

Having been a part of the ring for such a long time, acting is posing new challenges for Cena, making him realise that he was wrong in calling out The Rock for preferring films over WWE. The wrestler informed the press during an interview that he was wrong in thinking that Dwayne Johnson didn’t have any love for the WWE, and blamed his ignorance for that. He now realises that Johnson goes from one project to the other, back-to-back, the challenges of which he now understands and appreciates.
