WWE has sent out a press release touting the upcoming championship match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The press release no longer mentions King Fahd International Stadium, which has a capacity of over 67,000 seats. The new press release now lists the event for King Saud University Stadium, which has a capacity of 25,000 seats.
It’s unclear why the decision was made to move the show to the smaller venue but this was likely a decision made by the government of Saudi Arabia.
The other match announced for the show is Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match. It also became crystal clear on Saturday that the rumors about Shawn Michaels’ return to the ring are correct and the plan is for him to team up with Triple H against Kane and The Undertaker. I would expect that match to be announced soon, perhaps on this coming Monday’s episode of Raw.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA and STAMFORD, Conn., October 6, 2018 – The WWE Championship match featuring AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan will take place at Crown Jewel at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, November 2.
Additionally, the Crown Jewel will also include a Universal Championship Triple Threat match featuring Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman, and the first-ever WWE World Cup tournament to determine the best in the world.
