Pre-Show:

The 2018 WWE Hell In a Cell Kickoff pre-show opens live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Host Jonathan Coachman welcomes us as we see the new red Cell structure hanging above the ring. He’s joined by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, Peter Rosenberg and SmackDown General Manager Paige. David Otunga will join them later.

The panel goes over some of tonight’s matches. Coach leads us to a video package for the SmackDown Women’s Title match. We get more discussion on some of tonight’s matches, including Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse. We go backstage to Charly Caruso with Dean Ambrose and WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. Ambrose says the balance of power will not change tonight but Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre will not leave with the RAW Tag Team Titles, and will realize they never had the power to begin with. Rollins notes that The Shield may hold all the RAW men’s titles after tonight and this is just another chance to prove why they are the workhorses of the brand. They walk off and we go to a break.

We get a promo for Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy next. Paige reveals that this Cell match will open the pay-per-view. David Otunga has joined the panel, replacing Booker. They discuss the match and how Jeff is promising to do something crazy tonight. Coach leads us to a promo for tonight’s WWE Title match. The panel discusses tonight’s RAW Women’s Title match next. Alexa Bliss joins Coach from backstage and comments on the massive ego that RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has. Bliss is confident about becoming a six-time champion tonight. She says Rousey isn’t 100% right now but Rousey won’t admit that. Coach hypes The Undertaker’s return to RAW tomorrow night and the match with Triple H at WWE Super Show-Down. We go to the announcers at ringside.

SmackDown Tag Team Title Match: Rusev Day vs. The New Day

Tom Phillips welcomes us to ringside as fans continue to find their seats in the arena. He’s joined by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. Out first are SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day – Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. They take mics and do comedy, but also give props to their opponents. They go to perform a little rhyme they wrote for their opponents but Aiden English interrupts. Fans chant “Rusev Day” as English comes to the stage to do his introduction. English has a clearing-of-the-throat-off with The New Day. He then takes shots at The New Day and introduces his partner, Rusev. Out he comes with Lana as Greg Hamilton does the introductions.

The bell rings and English starts off with Kofi. Woods watches from ringside. English looks to catapult Kofi but he lands on his feet. Kofi drops English and hits a double stomp for a quick pin attempt. Rusev tags in and blocks kicks. Rusev rams Kofi back into the corner. They run the ropes and Rusev catches a cross-body. Rusev unloads with knees to the gut. Rusev with a big fall-away slam for a close 2 count. The screen splits with a promo for Bliss vs. Rousey. We come back and Rusev keeps Kofi grounded now.

Kofi fights up and out but Rusev beats on him in the corner. Rusev places Kofi on the top turnbuckle and rocks him. Rusev climbs up but Kofi leaps out, nailing a big tornado DDT from the top. Big E rallies fans as English reaches for a tag. English and Big E tag in at the same time. Big E with several big belly-to-belly suplexes for a pop. Big E stands over English and dances. Big E runs the ropes and hits the big splash. Rusev tags in to make the save. Rusev with clotheslines and a big kick to Big E. Rusev with more offense and a big spin kick. Kofi runs in but Rusev takes him out. Big E comes from behind but Rusev drops him with a kick for a 2 count.

Fans chant for Rusev Day as Rusev waits for Big E. Big E avoids the Machka Kick. Rusev goes for a takedown but it’s blocked. Rusev gets sent over the top but English tags in and Big E doesn’t see it. Big E gets dumped over the top. English runs the ropes and leaps out, taking Big E down on the floor. English brings it back in and drops Big E on his face for a close 2 count. English goes to the top but misses a senton as Kofi tags in. They hit the big double team on English but can’t get the pin. More back and forth. Kofi misses Trouble In Paradise. Rusev tags in but Kofi dumps him over the top. Kofi rocks English with a kick. Kofi runs the ropes and Big E launches him out onto Rusev but Rusev kicks him out of the air. Big E gets sent face-first into the apron. Woods checks on him.

Rusev brings Kofi back into the ring to put him away but English tags in. They have some words and Lana looks frustrated. This leads to English going to the top and hitting a diving headbutt but Kofi kicks out. English channels his inner-Rusev and applies The Accolade on Kofi. Big E runs in but Rusev nails the Machka Kick. English keeps The Accolade locked in on Kofi. Kofi breaks it as Rusev begs for the tag. Rusev runs in but gets sent to the outside by Kofi. Kofi nails Trouble In Paradise on English for the pin to retain.

Winners: The New Day

After the match, The New Day celebrates as Rusev Day shows frustration at ringside. We go to replays. The New Day continues their celebration in the ring as Rusev Day heads to the back.

– We go back to the panel and they discuss tonight’s card. We go backstage to Mike Rome and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, who will be the special referee for tonight’s main event. Foley talks about getting emotional when he arrived to the arena and saw the Cell earlier today. Foley says tonight is not about his journey, it’s about Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman tearing each other apart, and he just happens to have the best seat in the house. Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin walks in and welcomes Foley to his first pay-per-view. Corbin says he’s pulling out all the stops tonight, but with Stephanie McMahon’s blessing. Foley offers to give Corbin some pointers but Corbin says he’s good and will let the action speak for him. Corbin walks off. We go back to the panel for more discussion on tonight’s main event. Coach leads us to a video package for Strowman vs. Reigns. We get final hype from the panel and that’s it for the Kickoff.

WWE Hell In A Cell Opener:

A video highlighting the major matches on tonight’s show is shown. We then go live into the arena to see a hot crowd in San Antonio. The brand new red Hell in a Cell structure begins to lower over the ring as Randy Orton makes his way to the ring for our first match!

Jeff Hardy is out next to a bigger pop as Greg Hamilton does the introductions.

Hell In a Cell Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton

Hardy approaches the Cell and has words with Orton, who stares him down from the inside. Hardy enters and the referee locks it up. The bell rings and Hardy immediately rushes Orton, beating him into the corner. Orton fights out and goes for a suplex but Hardy avoids it. Orton drops Hardy over the top rope and brings it outside, sending him face-first into the red steel. Hardy counters but Orton beats on him and keeps control, sending him into the steel again. Hardy fights back, sending Orton into the steel. Hardy with shots into the apron and the steel. Hardy drops Orton on the outside as fans pop.

Hardy goes under the ring and brings a table out, sliding it into the ring. Orton turns it around and brings Jeff back in. Orton tries to position the table but Jeff runs the ropes and dropkicks it into Orton’s gut. Orton falls back into the steel. Hardy brings a ladder out now. Hardy approaches with the ladder but Orton brings a steel chair from under the ring and swings it. Hardy gets the upperhand and Orton goes down on the outside. Orton gets up with a steel chair shot to the back. Orton works Hardy over with strikes and uppercuts on the outside now. Orton goes for the RKO on the chair but Hardy shoves him into the steel. Hardy runs and jumps off the chair, driving Orton into the steel. Fans chant “delete!” as we get replays.

Hardy gets in the ring with Orton and hits a donkey kick before hitting a slingshot corner dropkick. Hardy pulls him to the center of the ring for a two count. Hardy splashes him and signals for a Swanton Bomb. Hardy goes to the top rope, but Orton cuts him off. Orton connects with a top rope superplex and slowly covers him for a near fall. Both men take a few moments to pull themselves to their feet. Hardy gives Orton a back elbow and connects with Whisper in the Wind for a near fall. Hardy goes outside and sets up the ladder upside down at ringside. Hardy tries to suplex Orton onto it, but Orton counters with a front suplex onto the supports of the ladder! Orton gets him into the ring for a near fall.

Orton grabs a chair at ringside and cracks it off Hardy’s back. Orton takes a few moments before hitting him a second time. Orton talks some trash and rips off Hardy’s mesh shirt. Orton then cracks the exposed back two more times. Orton takes Hardy’s belt, decorated with steel studs, and smacks it off his back for a two count. Orton rakes his boot on Hardy’s face before grabbing the ladder. A “Let’s go Hardy” chant fires up, and Orton looks disgusted. Orton sets up a ladder, but keeps it on its side. Orton sandwiches Hardy in between the ladder faces and pulls his head through a rung. Orton then tries closing the ladder and stomping it to hyperextend Hardy’s neck. Orton pulls him out of this for a near fall.

Orton applies a chin lock, and the crowd gets behind Hardy. Hardy fights up to his feet and elbows out. Hardy has a whip reversed, but he comes back with a running forearm. Hardy connects with an inverted atomic drop, hits a double leg drop to the midsection, and a low dropkick to the face for a near fall. Hardy gets a “DELETE” chant going and tries for a Twist of Fate, but Orton pushes him off and hits a scoop powerslam for a near fall. Orton covers again for the same result. Orton smiles and rolls out of the ring. Orton looks at a few weapons at ringside before going to a toolbox and pulling out a screwdriver. Orton gets in the ring and grabs Hardy by the hair. Orton ties up his arm and looks at the ear lobe of Hardy, already deformed by a gauge. Orton puts his finger in the hole before putting the screwdriver inside. Orton begins to twist the screwdriver, ripping into the ear lobe! Hardy gets to his feet and low blows him to get out of it.

Hardy smacks Orton with his belt a few times before unloading some chair shots on his back for a near fall. Hardy goes to the top rope, but Orton cuts him off and crotches him. Hardy collapses to the mat and rolls to the apron. Orton’s back is bleeding from the metal studs of Hardy’s belt. Orton then gives him a hanging DDT. Orton’s back leaves a bloody impression on the mat. Orton signals for the end. Hardy somehow comes back with a Twist of Fate and stomps on the chair to flatten it out. Hardy lays it on Orton’s chest and gives him a Swanton Bomb, but Orton kicks out.

There is a piece of skin dangling on Orton’s leg from a wound. Hardy gets a ladder in the ring and pulls out another table. Hardy sets up the tall ladder in the ring before setting up a smaller ladder next to it. Hardy then sets up a table. Hardy gives Orton a Twist of Fate and lays him on the table before climbing the smaller ladder. Hardy then leapfrogs the taller ladder and looks at the roof of the cell. Hardy then climbs the taller ladder and grabs the roof of the cell and hangs on a support beam. Hardy starts swinging himself and lets go, but Orton moves! Hardy crashes through the table! The referee starts to yell and backs Orton up. The cell starts to rise, and Orton is furious. Orton tells him to stop and covers. The referee won’t count, but Orton tells him to do his job. Finally the referee counts the pinfall.

Winner: Randy Orton

After the pin, the referee screams for help to come to the ring. Orton gets to his feet and is announced the winner to a mixed reactions as the Cell is raised above the ring. EMTs place Hardy in a neck brace and start loading him onto a stretcher at ringside. Orton’s music hits as we go to replays. Orton slowly walks up the ramp as the trainers get Hardy loaded onto the stretcher. Fans chant “Hardy!” as Orton looks on from the ramp. We get another replay of the finish as Hardy is stretchered up the ramp.

– An advertisement plays for WWE Super Show-Down.

Backstage:

AJ Styles is interviewed backstage. Styles cannot wait for his match against Samoa Joe. Joe has talked about his family one too many times. He’s going to rip Joe’s heart out of his chest and walk out as WWE Champion because this is the house that AJ Styles built.

– We get a Video Package for Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch.

Smackdown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair (c)

A “Becky” chant picks up while the bell rings. Lynch quickly hits a waistlock takeover before applying a front facelock and rolling her around. Flair fights up to her feet and hits a waistlock takeover. Flair then applies a front facelock and rolls her around. Lynch fights up, so Flair kicks her away. They circle the ring, and Flair takes her down. Lynch quickly comes back with a side headlock. Flair whips her off, but Lynch shoulder blocks her down. Lynch hits the ropes, but Flair leapfrogs her. They sloppily go into a Figure Eight attempt before Lynch counters into a Dis-Arm-Her attempt. Lynch applies an overhead wristlock, but Flair gets out and attacks the leg before tying it up.

Lynch gets out and kicks her in the midsection before putting her in the corner. Flair ducks a right hand and drives her shoulders into Lynch’s midsection. Flair charges, but Lynch sidesteps her. Lynch then kicks her off the apron to the floor. Lynch jumps off the apron to take her down. The crowd applauds Lynch. Lynch gets her in the ring and picks up a two count. Lynch takes her down by the arm and ties up the arm.

Lynch ties the arm around the ropes before sending her into the corner, but Flair rolls up the turnbuckle to the apron and punches her back. Flair gets a roll-up for a two count. Lynch then takes her down and applies an overhead wristlock. A “Let’s go Becky” chant picks up. Lynch then bridges to put more pressure on the arm. Flair fights up and chops the chest, but Lynch quickly takes her down for a two count. Lynch drops a leg and and elbow before Flair moves out of the way of another leg drop. Flair drops her on the apron, but Lynch snaps the arm off the top rope. Lynch gets on the apron, but Flair knocks her off to the floor. Flair then hits a baseball slide to take her down. They both get on the apron and start punching it out. Lynch then spikes Flair’s shoulder on the apron before getting her in the ring for a near fall. Lynch tries for the Dis-Arm-Her, but Flair gets out and connects with a back suplex.

Both women are down. Another “Becky” chant picks up. They trade uppercuts before Flair gives her a backslide pin for a one count. Flair chops the chest a number of times, but Lynch attacks the arm. Flair quickly comes back by countering a kick and big booting her. Flair goes to the top rope and tries for a moonsault, but Lynch moves. Lynch tries for a Fujiwara Arm Bar, but Flair gets out, powers her up, and hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. They take some time to get up before exchanging forearms from their knees. Lynch comes out on top with the forearm shots and hits a hammerlock reverse DDT for a near fall. Lynch is furious. Flair counters a missile dropkick and applies a Boston Crab. Lynch manages to get out and slams the left arm of Flair off the ring post. Lynch gets in the ring, and Flair rolls her up. Lynch gets out and applies the Dis-Arm-Her, but Flair gets out. Lynch soon comes back with a spear to win the championship!

Winner and NEW Smackdown Women’s Champion: Becky Lynch

After the match, Flair gets emotional and looks on as Becky celebrates with the title. We go to replays. We come back and Flair is on her feet. They meet in the middle of the ring and Flair extends her hand but Becky just raises the title and talks trash in Flair’s face, saying she will never get the title back from her. Becky walks off to the back as fans cheer for her. Flair looks on.

– Jeff Hardy was taken to a local medical facility complaining of severe abdominal pain. Replays are shown of The New Day defeating Rusev Day to retain the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.

– The New Day wildly celebrate their win earlier in the night before announcing they’ll be defending their Smackdown Tag Team Championships against The Bar at WWE Super Show-Down. They then pour a Gatorade bucket full of hotcakes onto an assistant.

RAW Tag Team Championships
Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre (c’s) vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose

We go to the ring and Michael Cole welcomes us to the first red brand match of the night. He’s joined by Renee Young and Graves. JoJo does the introductions as RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre are out first. Cole introduces some of the other international announce teams in the arena. WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins is out next, followed by Dean Ambrose. The Shield members head to the ring together.

Seth Rollins starts against Dolph Ziggler. They lock up and trade hammerlocks before letting go. They go for a test of strength before Rollins tosses him off. Dean Ambrose tags in, and they take turns hitting Ziggler for a two count. Rollins tags back in, and they send Ziggler into the ropes for a double-team wishbone split. Drew McIntyre eventually tags in, and Ambrose tags as well. They trade punches before Ziggler causes a distraction, and McIntyre takes Ambrose down. McIntyre chops the chest and tags in Ziggler. Ziggler works over Ambrose and applies a chin lock. Ambrose fights up and drops him on the top rope. Rollins hits a Sling Blade and kicks him down. Ziggler rolls out of the ring. Rollins hits the ropes, but McIntyre sweeps the feet. Ziggler then runs into the ring and hits a snap DDT for a near fall.

McIntyre tags in and peppers Rollins with punches before applying a chin lock. Ziggler tags in and rakes the face. McIntyre is back in, and he stomps the hand. McIntyre then takes him down before working on the arm. Rollins tries to fight out, but they keep him grounded. Ziggler talks a little trash to Ambrose before taunting Rollins. Ziggler jumps on the back and applies a sleeper hold. Rollins nearly fades away, but he eventually counters out with a slam. McIntyre tags in, and Rollins quickly sends him out of the ring. Rollins goes for a tag, but McIntyre pulls Ambrose off the apron. McIntyre gets in the ring and hits an inverted Alabama Slam, but Ambrose breaks up the pin. McIntyre is furious. Rollins flips through a back suplex and makes the tag, but Ziggler was distracting the referee so it wasn’t seen. McIntyre and Ziggler double-team Rollins while the referee argues with Ambrose. Ziggler tags in and punches Rollins in the corner.

Ziggler puts Rollins on the top rope, but Rollins pushes him off. Ziggler charges back up, but Rollins again pushes him off. McIntyre tags in, and Rollins hits a blockbuster. Ambrose tags in, and he unloads on McIntyre, stomping him down in the corner. Ambrose hits the ropes and clotheslines him. Ambrose goes for a suplex, but McIntyre blocks it. Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds, but McIntyre fights it. Ambrose takes him down for a two count. Ambrose goes to the top rope, but he kicks Ziggler away. Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds off the apron, but McIntyre knocks Ambrose to the floor. Ambrose quickly sends McIntyre headfirst into the ring post before sending Ziggler into the barricade. Ambrose gets to the top rope and jumps, but McIntyre counters with a belly-to-belly suplex into the corner.

Rollins and Ziggler are tagged in, and Rollins hits a springboard clothesline before knocking him out of the ring. Rollins goes for a suicide dive, but Ziggler and McIntyre catch him. Ambrose then connects with a suicide dive to take them out. Rollins and Ziggler get in before being counted out. Rollins counters a spike DDT into a falcon arrow for a near fall! Rollins signals for a Stomp, but Ziggler moves. Ziggler tries for a famouser, but Rollins reverses into a turnbuckle powerbomb. Ambrose runs in to cut McIntyre off. Rollins knees McIntyre in the back before rolling through a pin attempt by Ziggler. Ziggler quickly connects with a Zig-Zag for a near fall.

They try for a Claymore Kick/Zig-Zag, but Ambrose pulls Ziggler out of the ring. Rollins superkicks McIntyre and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Rollins and Ambrose isolate McIntyre and try for a double-team superplex, but Ziggler pulls them off. Rollins gets him out of the ring and tries for a plancha, but Ziggler moves. McIntyre hits a diving clothesline and kips up. They go for a Doomsday Device, but Ambrose fights it. Rollins blind tags in, and McIntyre and Ambrose tussle out of the ring. Rollins hits a superplex and tries for a falcon arrow, but McIntyre hits a Claymore Kick halfway through the move! Ziggler rolls over and picks up the win.

Winners and still RAW Tag Team Champions: Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew gets up and grabs the titles while Ziggler is still down with Rollins. Drew helps Ziggler up as we go to replays. Drew carries Ziggler up the ramp on his shoulder as Ziggler’s music plays.

Backstage:

We see Braun Strowman backstage watching the match, smiling. Mick Foley appears and Braun asks what he wants. Foley says they need to have a little talk. Foley goes on about how the Cell will change Braun’s life but no matter how chaotic it gets, Foley needs Braun to respect his authority. Braun says all Foley needs to do is stay out of his way and count the pin. Braun goes on and says Foley does not want a monster problem. Foley calls it a good talk and walks off.

– It’s time, once again, for the “Night Night, AJ” story from Samoa Joe.

WWE Championship
Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles (c)

We go to the ring and out first comes Samoa Joe. WWE Champion AJ Styles is out next. Hamilton does formal ring introductions as Joe taunts AJ.

The bell rings, and Styles immediately pounces on him and punches away. Joe quickly turns him around and shoulders him before hitting some jabs. Joe kicks him in the chest, but Styles responds with punches and chops. Joe fights back with a chop and hits the ropes, but Styles dropkicks him down. Joe rolls out of the ring to regain his composure. Styles goes outside and leaps onto the apron to hit a running knee to the head. Styles slams his face onto the commentary table before bouncing him off the apron. Styles gets in the ring and waits for Joe to get to his feet. Styles then hits a baseball slide.

Styles gets him in the ring and signals for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Joe gets out of the ring. Joe capitalizes with a big boot at ringside and sends him into the steel steps before getting him into the ring for a one count. Styles tries to make a comeback, but Joe takes him down and knees him in the face. Styles starts to kick at the knee and punches him in the corner. Joe quickly comes back with a splash and a snap kick in the corner before getting him out of the ring. Joe then wipes him out with a suicide dive forearm to the face. Joe takes some time before getting him in the ring for a near fall.

Joe applies a neck vice, but Styles fights out. Styles hits the ropes, but Joe turns him inside out with a nasty back elbow. Joe applies a chin lock before releasing and putting him on the top rope. Joe goes for a superplex, but Styles slides under the legs and sweeps the feet. They take their time before getting to their feet, and Styles connects with a strike combo before clotheslining him in the corner. Styles hits a low forearm to the face for a near fall. Styles punches him back before hitting a moonsault reverse DDT for a near fall.

Styles goes for a springboard moonsault, but Joe gets the knees up. Joe takes him down and applies a submission, but Styles gets out. Joe head-butts him down in the corner. Styles eventually makes a comeback with a torture rack spinout bomb for a near fall. Styles gets to his feet and hits a springboard 450 splash for a near fall. Joe makes a comeback with a catapult and a clothesline that turns him inside out for a near fall.

Styles is bleeding from the mouth. Styles tries for a Styles Clash, but Joe kicks him in the ear. Styles tries for a Calf Crusher, but Joe wipes him out with a kick to the skull. Joe strikes away at him, but Styles hits a Pelé Kick. Styles gets on the apron and tries for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Joe sidesteps and attempts a Coquina Clutch. Joe finally locks it in, but Styles flips through and picks up the pin!

Winner and still WWE Champion: AJ Styles

Joe flips out and immediately says that Styles tapped out before the pin. Joe goes outside and slams the commentary table. Joe gets inside the ring and grabs the WWE Championship. Styles then takes him out with a kick. Replays show that Styles did indeed tap out before the count of three, but the referee’s decision stands. Joe marches up the ramp, apparently yelling for SmackDown General Manager Paige as AJ continues his celebration.

– Ronda Rousey is seen warming up backstage.

Backstage:

Charly Caruso is backstage with The Miz and Maryse. Miz says Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella should thank them for the free publicity. Maryse says Brie Bella has put her hands on her husband twice knowing he’ll never hit her back, but she can. Miz says they’re going to turn this into a public relations nightmare.

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse

We go to the ring and out first comes Maryse with her own theme. The Miz is out next. The It Couple heads to the ring together. Brie Bella is out first for her team. Daniel Bryan is out next and they head to the ring together as fans chant “yes!” with them.

Brie Bella will start against Maryse. The circle the ring, and Maryse immediately tags in The Miz, meaning Daniel Bryan is in the match by default. Maryse distracts Bryan, and Miz big boots him. Miz punches him down in the corner and taunts the crowd. Miz sends him to the corner, but Bryan backflips over him and hits a flying elbow. Bryan punches away at him in the corner before sending him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Bryan takes Miz down for a YES! Lock attempt, but Miz gets out of the ring. Miz taunts him from ringside. Bryan tags Bella in, so Maryse is in the match. Bella gets in the ring, but Maryse tags Miz right back in. Bella is already frustrated.

They circle the ring, and Bryan blocks a kick before taking him down. Bryan punches away at him before hitting the ropes, but Miz turns him inside out with a knee to the midsection. Miz hits a few of Bryan’s running dropkicks in the corner and mocks the “YES” chant. Miz hits his patented corner clothesline before going to the top rope. Bryan sweeps the feet, and Miz nearly falls to the floor. Bryan pulls him back up and hits a super hurricanrana. Bryan gets a “YES” chant going and tries for the Busaiku Knee Kick, but Miz moves. Bryan applies a YES! Lock, but Maryse breaks it up. Bella chases her around the ring, but Maryse gets away. Bryan counters a Skull Crushing Finale into a roll-up for a two count. Bryan hits a running dropkick in the corner, but Miz avoids a second one.

Miz comes back with a Reality Check for a near fall. Miz digs his knee into the spine and applies a chin lock. Bryan fights up, but Miz backs him to the corner and shoulders him. Miz looks at Bella before hitting some kicks in the corner. Miz puts him on the top rope, but Bryan knocks him off. Bryan goes for a diving head-butt, but Miz moves and Bryan’s head bounces off the mat. Miz stops Bryan from making a tag and punches away at him. Miz sends him into the ropes, but Bryan holds on. Miz charges, but Bryan drops him over the top rope to the floor.

Bella tags in, so Maryse is in the match. Maryse looks terrified. Miz gets in between them, and Bella punches at Miz before sliding through his legs and hitting a baseball slide on Maryse. Bella bounces Maryse off the commentary table before Bryan hits a flying knee off the apron. Miz is busted open. Miz then sends Bryan into the barricade. Bella gets Maryse in the ring and hits a Thesz Press before connecting with a missile dropkick. Miz breaks up the pin. Bryan gets in the ring and punches away at Miz. Bryan yells, “Nobody touches my wife!” Bryan and Bella start hitting the YES! Kicks, but Miz and Maryse roll out before the roundhouse kick. They grabs Miz and Maryse before they walk off. Bella gets Maryse in the ring and hits a running knee to the face. Bella sends Maryse into Miz to knock him out of the ring. Maryse then rolls Bella up to pick up the win.

The Miz and Maryse wildly celebrate on the ramp. Daniel Bryan tries to calm Brie Bella down in the ring.

– Back from a break and the RAW announcers show us highlights from the Orton vs. Hardy Cell match that opened tonight’s pay-per-view. Cole says doctors at the local hospital report that Hardy has been throwing up blood and is in severe abdominal pain. Cole says WWE will have another update on Hardy later.

– We get a video package for tonight’s RAW Women’s Title match.

RAW Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey (c)

We go to the ring and out comes Alexa Bliss with Mickie James and Alicia Fox. RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is out next with Natalya. We get formal ring introductions from JoJo.

They lock up, and Rousey applies a side headlock before hitting a takeover. Bliss gets out and applies a waistlock, but Rousey quickly takes her down for a two count. Rousey rolls Bliss up with a creative bridge for a two count. Rousey gets Bliss in the ropes before the referee makes her back up. Bliss shoves her, so Rousey takes her down. Rousey punches away at her and takes her down before signaling for an arm bar. Fox and James get on the apron to distract her. Rousey hits a wild inverted t-bone suplex. Fox and James pull Bliss out of the ring. Rousey gets out of the ring, and Bliss is so scared that she falls down. Rousey punches her and gets her in the ring. Rousey talks a little trash and lets Bliss get to her feet. Rousey then sidesteps Bliss, and she flies out of the ring into James and Fox. Rousey grabs Bliss and brings her into the ring, but she snaps Rousey off the top rope. Bliss takes her down for a one count.

Bliss hits a snapmare and applies a grounded abdominal stretch. Rousey fights up and tries for a swinging fireman’s carry slam, but her back gives way. Bliss hits Insult To Injury for a near fall. Bliss stretches her out before kicking her to the corner. Rousey manages to cut her off and put her on the top rope. Bliss gets her in the tree of woe and kicks her for a near fall.

Bliss reapplies the grounded abdominal stretch. Rousey gets out, but Bliss throws her into the corner before stretching the midsection around the ring post. Fox and James pull on Rousey, so Natalya breaks it up. Natalya hits a snap suplex on the floor on Fox while Rousey sends James into the ring post. Rousey and Bliss then hit stereo cross-body blocks to take each other out.

Rousey rolls her up for a two count. Bliss takes her down and mocks Rousey’s face. She quickly puts on a look of fear when Rousey is staring back at her. Rousey fights up and hits a gutwrench suplex. Rousey punches feeling into the ribs punches away at her. Rousey blocks a punch and hits a swinging fireman’s carry slam. Rousey then applies the Arm Bar for the win.

After the match, Rousey stands tall with the title as Natalya joins her for the celebration. We go to replays. Bliss, James and Fox watch from the stage as Rousey and Natalya celebrate.

– Replays are shown of the controversial finish to the AJ Styles/Samoa Joe match. Styles was shown tapping out before the count of three.

Backstage:

Samoa Joe is yelling at the referee about the finish. Smackdown Live General Manager Paige comes in and tells him to calm down. The referee’s decision is final, however he’ll get his rematch at WWE Super Show-Down. Joe says three weeks isn’t good enough. He should be WWE Champion right now. If she doesn’t change the rules, he’ll make things worse. There has to be a winner. She agrees. Joe says, “Don’t worry — there will be.”

Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns (c)

We go to the ring for tonight’s main event as the red Cell is lowered around the ring. JoJo introduces the special referee for this match and out comes WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley to a pop. Foley enters the Cell and is wearing a custom referee button-up shirt. Braun Strowman is out next to officially cash in his Money In the Bank title shot. Braun does not have the briefcase with him. Braun enters the Cell and waits as the boos start up. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is out next to a mixed reaction. Reigns stops and looks at the Cell before entering. Reigns enters the Cell and the door is chained shut. We get formal ring introductions from JoJo.

Reigns raises the title during the introductions but Braun snatches it and raises it up. Reigns rocks him and here we go. Reigns with offense but Braun sends him to the corner and runs in with a big splash. Back and forth for a few seconds until Braun rocks Reigns again. Braun charges and knocks Reigns from the apron into the steel. Reigns lands on the floor. Braun follows and sends Reigns into the red steel, then face-first into the steel ring post. Braun launches Reigns into the steel once again. Braun taunts Reigns about having nowhere to run and no way for his boys to get in and help him.

Braun brings it back into the ring but Reigns fights back. Braun grabs him by the throat. Reigns ducks a shot and rocks Braun, knocking him through the ropes. Braun recovers and nails a big shoulder tackle on the outside, sending Reigns into the steel again. Braun works Reigns over and sends him into the apron, the steel steps and the Cell several times. Reigns comes back and hits a Drive By on the outside. Braun turns it around and clubs Reigns on the outside, dropping him on the apron. Fans chant “get these hands” as Braun brings a kendo stick from under the ring. Reigns takes the stick and beats Braun with it, shattering the stick. Braun takes it and breaks it, then rolls Reigns in the ring. Reigns rocks Braun as he re-enters. Reigns grabs the steel chair and rocks Braun with it several times. Braun is still standing. Braun catches a chair shot but Reigns counters and Braun goes shoulder-first into the ring post.

Reigns drops Braun on the steel chair with a DDT but Braun kicks out at 2. Reigns with a Superman Punch, and another but Braun is still standing. Reigns goes for a third Superman Punch but Braun blocks it and chokeslams him for a very close 2 count. The announcers wonder if Foley botched the count. Braun argues with Foley now. Braun ends up running into a big boot in the corner. More back and forth. Braun lifts Reigns but Reigns connects with another Superman Punch on the way down for another close 2 count. Braun rolls to the floor for a breather.

Reigns keeps control and follows to the floor. Reigns runs around the ring and charges at Braun but Braun meets him with steel steps to the face. Braun tosses the steps into the ring and stands over Reigns. Braun rolls Reigns back into the ring and smacks him in the face with the steps again. Braun with a 2 count. Braun yells at Reigns to stay down. Braun picks the steps up again and drives them down into Reigns’ chest. Braun tosses the steps out of the ring. Braun hits a running powerslam but Reigns kicks out at 2. Braun brings a table into the ring now and leans it up in the corner. Braun scoops Reigns but Reigns slides out and stuns him with a Superman Punch, and another. Reigns hits a Spear, putting Braun through the table in the corner. Reigns rolls Braun over and covers for a close 2 count.

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre run down to the Cell now, arguing with the referee about getting inside. WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose run down and attack them. Ziggler tries to escape through the crowd but they stop him and send him into the side of the Cell. Ambrose and Rollins take apart the announce table now. McIntyre makes the save and bets on Ambrose. Ziggler starts climbing the outside of the Cell and Rollins follows. They make it to the top of the Cell and start brawling. McIntyre is climbing the side of the structure now. McIntyre and Ziggler double team Rollins up top. Ambrose is climbing up now and he has a kendo stick. Fans chant “this is awesome” as Rollins gets double teamed and Ambrose climbs. Ambrose makes it on top of unloads with kendo stick shots to Ziggler and McIntyre. McIntyre blocks a shot and unloads with Ambrose, pounding on each other. McIntyre drops Ambrose with a big clothesline on top of the Cell.

Ziggler starts climbing down the side of the Cell but Rollins goes after him. We see Braun and Reigns down in the ring still. Rollins and Ziggler trade shots on the side of the Cell from way up high. Rollins and Ziggler both go flying from the side of the Cell through the announce table at ringside. A “holy s–t” chant starts up. Rollins and Ziggler are laid out in the debris. The music interrupts and out comes Brock Lesnar as the crowd goes wild. Paul Heyman is with him.

Heyman argues with a standard referee about opening the Cell. Lesnar, now sporting a beard, doesn’t wait and kicks the Cell door off the hinges. Lesnar enters the Cell and hops in the ring, staring down at Reigns and Strowman. Heyman sprays something in the eyes of Foley to take him out after they argue on the outside. Lesnar brings part of the Cell door in the ring and beats on the match participants with parts of the table. Lesnar scoops Strowman and drops him with a F5. Fans chant for Suplex City now. Lesnar scoops Reigns next and hits him with a F5, dropping him on top of Braun. Lesnar stands over Reigns and Strowman to yell out. Fans chant “one more time” but Lesnar exits the Cell and heads up the ramp with Heyman. Reigns and Strowman are down in the middle of the ring. A new referee enters and calls for the bell to end the match.

No Contest

The referee calls for more officials to hit the ring, to check on Reigns and Strowman. Hell In a Cell goes off the air with Strowman and Reigns laid out.
