WWE RAW Results – Nov 20, 2017

WWE RAW Opener:

Tonight’s WWE RAW opens with the usual intro package.

– We’re live from the Toyota Center in Houston as Michael Cole welcomes us. He’s joined by Corey Graves and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

– We go right to the ring and out comes RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie welcomes everyone to the A show, the brand that decimated Smackdown last night, Monday Night Raw. She says that her brother knew that Smackdown didn’t have a chance and it was written all over his face. Putting Raw Under Siege, he thought he had the advantage. Shane tried to strike first, but Stephanie says that she learned to win. Stephanie says that Kurt Angle keeps his job.

Stephanie brings out the man who was responsible for Raw’s victory, her husband, Triple H.

Before Hunter can speak, Kurt Angle’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring, and he is not as happy as Triple H or Stephanie.

Kurt gets in Hunter’s face in the ring and he says this is not Kurt Angle the General Manager talking to you, this is the Olympic Gold Medalist and Hall of Famer speaking, If you attack me from behind again, you can take this job and shove it because he is coming after you. Stephanie reminds Kurt that he is talking to the COO of WWE as the Raw General Manager. Stephanie tells Kurt not to jeopardize his career again.

The music interrupts and out comes Jason Jordan marching to the ring.

Jordan wants his “dad” to put him in a match with Triple H tonight. Fans want it too. Stephanie warns that Triple H would tear Jordan apart and make a mockery of him. Stephanie says Triple H isn’t afraid of anyone in the locker room. The music hits and out comes Braun Strowman. Braun marches to the ring. Braun stares Triple H down. Triple H backs away a bit as Stephanie leaves the ring. Triple H goes to the apron but is still staring Braun down. Braun marches to the ropes and stares at Triple H, causing him to drop down to the floor. Triple H leaves as the staredown with Braun continues. Stephanie makes Jordan vs. Strowman for tonight. Braun stares Jordan down as Angle gets in between them. Braun’s music hits.

– We see Samoa Joe and Finn Balor backstage walking. We go to commercial.

Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe

Joe with a forearm and Balor goes down. Joe with punches in the corner. Joe follows with a knee to the midsection. Balor with a drop kick to Joe. Balor with punches and kicks in the corner. Joe with a back elbow out of the corner and Balor goes down again. Joe with Mongolian chops and a nerve hold on Balor. Balor gets to his feet but Joe applies more pressure and it brings Balor back to the mat.

Balor with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Joe goes to the turnbuckles and Balor with an enzuigiri to send Joe to the floor. Balor with a plancha onto Joe. We go to commercial.

We are back and Joe with a surfboard on Balor. We see footage from the commercial of Joe suplexing Balor.Joe with a head butt and Irish whip followed by a running back elbow and an enzuigiri. Joe gets a near fall. Joe with punches to the shoulder and he returns to the nerve hold. Balor with a jaw breaker but Joe pushes Balor into the ropes and connects with a forearm. Balor with a Pele Kick. Joe runs into boots from Balor and then he goes to the apron and hits an enzuigiri. Balor with a running forearm and a drop kick to the temple.

Balor sends Joe to the floor and Balor with a baseball slide. Joe blocks the running kick on the apron and he sends Balor face first into the apron. Joe with a suicide dive that sends Balor into the ringside barrier. Joe sends Balor back into the ring and he hits an STO for a near fall. Balor blocks a uranage but Joe with a chop. Balor with Slingblade but he misses the running drop kick and Joe with a back senton for a near fall.

Joe stands over Balor and applies the Kokina Clutch. Joe goes to the mat but Balor escapes and hits a double stomp. Balor with a running drop kick and Joe hits the turnbuckles and goes down. Balor goes to the apron and then he goes up top for the Coup de Grace. Joe crotches Balor and then he applies the Kokina Clutch and adds a body scissors. Balor passes out and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Samoa Joe

– We take a look at footage from the onsale celebration in New Orleans for Wrestlemania 34.

– Still to come, Roman Reigns will be on MizTV. Also, a look at Brock Lesnar’s Survivor Series win over AJ Styles. Back to commercial.

– We are back and Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are doing the hard sell for WWE.com and their Black Friday sales.

– We take a look back at the match between the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and the WWE Champion AJ Styles.

Backstage:

Kurt Angle walks in the back and Jason Jordan asks Kurt if he is going to let the match happen because he is hurt. Kurt says that he heard that Jason was okay. Jason says he was saying that because of Hunter. Kurt says if he cancels the match, how will it look. Jason says he will face Braun. Jason says he can beat Braun and he is not afraid of Braun. When they are done, Braun will be telling horror stories about him.

– We go to the ring and out comes Asuka to a pop. Back to commercial.

Asuka vs. Dana Brooke

Asuka with a kick and Dana with a punch to the arm. Dana with a kick but Asuka with an arm wringer and kick to the back. Asuka with hip strikes to Dana followed by kicks. Asuka with an abdominal stretch in the ropes. Asuka with a running hip attack to knock Dana off the apron. Dana goes for the leg but Asuka with a knee to the head followed by kicks to Dana’s head. Dana sends Asuka face first into the ropes and then she kicks Asuka in the knee.

Dana with a forearm and she pats Asuka on teh head. Dana slaps Asuka across the face and Asuka smiles. Asuka with slaps and back fists followed by a kick. Asuka with a round kick for the three count.

Winner: Asuka

After the match, Asuka stands tall as her music hits and we get replays.

The MizTV:

We are back and Miz is in the ring with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.

Miz applauds Baron Corbin on the biggest victory of his career. He says Baron is the most relevant because of his victory. Miz says he has more important things to do than deal with Baron Corbin. Miz brings out the man who led the Shield’s victory over The New Day, Roman Reigns.

Roman does not come out the first two times that Miz introduces him. Miz says this is so unprofessional. Miz waits for Reigns to come through the entrance on the stage but Roman comes to the ring through the crowd and he is not alone. Roman is joined by Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

The Shield brags on their win at Survivor Series last night. Miz mocks them for being back together. This leads to fans chanting “this is awesome” as the two sides have words. Rollins mentions how he and Ambrose will have the RAW Tag Team Titles back soon. Reigns says he can’t be the only one without a title. Rollins points out how Miz has a title. Reigns asks Miz if he’s free tonight and asks Houston if they want to see the match. The segment ends with The Shield destroying Axel and Dallas while Miz looks on from the ramp. Miz has not accepted the challenge.

– We get a look back at tonight’s opening segment. Charly Caruso is backstage with Braun Strowman now. In regards to Jason Jordan not being scared of him, Braun says that makes him unlike everyone else, including Triple H. Braun walks off.

– Still to come, Braun vs. Jordan. Back to commercial.

– We are back and Roman Reigns will face Miz for the Intercontinental Title tonight.

Dean Ambrose (with Seth Rollins) vs. Sheamus (with Cesaro)

They lock up and Sheamus backs Dean into the corner and they push each other. Sheamus with a front face lock but Dean with a hammer lock. Sheamus with a reversal. Sheamus with a side head lock. Dean avoids a slam and takes Sheamus down with an arm drag into an arm bar. Dean stomps on the elbow. Sheamus with a knee to the chest and forearms to the back. Sheamus with a knee drop and Ambrose goes to the apron. Sheamus with a cross arm but Dean blocks it and he connects with forearms and he drops Sheamus on the top rope. Sheamus with a kick and Dean bounces off the ropes and Sheamus with a boot to send Dean to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ambrose misses a drop kick and Sheamus with a Stretch Muffler on Ambrose. Sheamus pulls Ambrose up and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall. sheamus with an arm bar. Ambrose with a boot to the head. Sheamus with a clothesline and a standing suplex throw for a near fall. Sheamus kicks Ambrose in the elbow and he gets Ambrose up for another suplex throw. Sheamus kicks Ambrose. Sheamus goes for another suplex but Dean lands on his feet and he punches Sheamus. Ambrose with an elbow. Sheamus blocks a boot but Ambrose punches Sheamus and sends Sheamus shoulder first into the ring post.

Ambrose with a kick and Sheamus avoids the double underhook DDT. Ambrose with punches but Sheamus with a kick. Ambrose with clotheslines and he sends Sheamus to the mat. Ambrose runs into boots in the corner and Sheamus pulls himself up to the turnbuckles but Ambrose with a forearm to knock Sheamus off the turnbuckles to the floor. Ambrose goes for a suicide dive but Sheamus with a forearm and he misses a Brogue Kick. Ambrose clotheslines Sheamus over the top rope to the floor and Ambrose connects with the suicide dive.

Ambrose sends Sheamus into the ring and Rollins tells Cesaro to stay back. Cesaro attacks Rollins from behind. Sheamus with a rollup for a near fall. Dean bounces off the ropes and gets a rollup for a near fall. Cesaro stops Ambrose on the turnbuckles and Sheamus sets for a Super Finlay Slam and hits it but Ambrose kicks out. Sheamus signals for the Brogue Kick but Rollins with a suicide dive to Cesaro and that distraction allows Ambrose to hit the double underhook DDT for the three count.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Backstage:

Matt Hardy is in the locker room and Jason Jordan stops by and he brings up his match against Braun Strowman. Jason asks Matt for some advice against Braun. Matt says he has faced people like Mark Henry, Big Show, and Brock Lesnar. Those are the biggest, but they are men. Braun is a monster among men and that is not a nickname. His strength is inhuman. Good luck taking him off the feet. Matt says he has learned a lot during his time in the WWE. There are many ways to use a ladder, there is nothing more than family, and some nights it is just not your night. Back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring. We see footage of Alexa in the back while Becky and Charlotte pass her in the hall talking about Charlotte’s victory.

Alexa says she has read all of the tweets about her match against Charlotte. Alexa says you can save your social media pity for someone else. She says she knows how she did. Alexa reminds us she only had five days to prepare for Charlotte but she took Charlotte to the limit. Survivor Series may not have been her night, but 2017 has been her year. Alexa says she is the Goddess of Raw and no one in the back can hold a candle to her.

Mickie James comes out and wants to know who else is sick and tired of the same old gibber jabber from Little Miss Biscuit Butt? Mickie says Survivor Series is over and it is time for Raw business again. Mickie says she only cares about the Raw Women’s title.

Bayley’s music plays and she comes out. She says she agrees with Alexa. This has been Alexa’s year, but the year ain’t over yet. Bayley says she is not the same person Alexa beat for the title. She says she has to leap Mickie because the title is hers.

Sasha Banks’ music plays and she comes out. Sasha says Raw deserves a better champion. She says Raw doesn’t need a huggable champion or a veteran champion. They need a boss champion.

Alicia Fox comes out and she says if Raw needs a boss as champion then the boss of the Raw team should get the chance. Raw never would have beaten Smackdown two years in a row without her guidance.

Alexa thanks Captain Delusional. Alexa says this has been a colossal waste of her time and not one of you deserve the title match.

Kurt Angle comes out and he tells Alexa that he does not mind her leaving. He wants her to remember that Raw is the show and she will get a chance against the winner of the Fatal Four Way Match and it happens now. But first… We go to commercial!

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox vs. MIckie James in a Number One Contender Match

The match is joined in progress and Mickie and Alicia are on the floor. Bayley with a rollup. Bayley runs into a boot from Sasha. Bayley with a belly-to-back suplex but Mickie breaks it up. Alicia with a drop kick to Mickie. Sasha with a lungblower into the Banks Statement but Bayley breaks it up. Sasha with a knee to Bayley but Mickie with a neck breaker to Sasha for a near fall. Sasha goes for the lungblower but Mickie is in the ropes. Mickie and Sasha go down and…

Paige’s music plays and she makes her way to the stage.

Everyone is shocked at Paige. She takes the mic and asks if we missed her. A “yes!” chant starts up. Paige apologizes for interrupting the business in the ring but she just had something to say to them and the fans – I’m back. Paige says she doesn’t think the crowd is loud enough. She gets another pop and a “welcome back” chant. Paige says but she didn’t come back alone. She takes off her jacket and heads down to the ring.

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose enter the ring to drop Mickie as Paige looks on from ringside. A chant for WWE NXT starts up next. Sasha goes after Mandy but Deville makes the save. Mandy drops Sasha. Bayley enters the fight but Paige comes from behind and drops her with a kick. Fox watches from ringside and runs away to the back. Mandy drops Mickie and Deville drops Sasha again. Paige goes after Bayley and drops her with the RamPaige in the middle of the ring. Paige poses with Mandy and Sonya as we go to commercial.

– We are back with a look at what just happened with the return of Paige and the Raw debuts of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

Backstage:

Renee Young stops them in the back and she asks what just happened. Paige starts to talk and Alexa Blis stops by and she says that Paige doesn’t have to explain what she did and she tells Renee to leave. Paige introduces Sonya and Mandy to Alexa. Paige introduces them to Alexa. Alexa says nice to meet you and Mandy and Sonya say nothing. Paige kicks Alexa and then they send her into the steel door as they continue to kick her.

Braun Strowman vs. Jason Jordan

Jordan slaps Braun and then he goes to the floor. Jordan returns to the ring and he tries to go to the floor again but Strowman holds on to Jordan. Strowman misses a splash into the corner. Jason tries to pick up Strowman but he cannot do it. Strowman with a biel and then he hits a splash into the corner. Strowman gets Jordan up for the power slam but Jordan gets to his feet and he goes to the floor.

Kane comes from behind and he clips Strowman and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Braun Strowman (by disqualification)

Kane hits Strowman with a steel chair and then he sends Strowman’s head into the ring steps. Kane puts the chair against Strowman’s throat and he sends the chair into the ring steps. Kane goes up the ramp while Braun gasps for air as officials try to help him out. Braun isn’t interested as he slowly makes his way up the ramp. We go to commercial.

– We are back with a look at the return of Kane and what he did to Braun Strowman.

In the Arena:

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore with Noam Dar, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak.

Enzo brags on retaining his title over Kalisto at Survivor Series. Enzo says he’s still the face of WWE 205 Live but it wasn’t easy because there was an army of haters. Enzo goes on and talks about how Gulak, Nese, Daivari and Dar have improved since joining The Zo Train. The music interrupts and out comes Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Akira Tozawa to the ring.

Enzo says it looks like Kalisto’s luggage didn’t make the flight. He asks if they want to join The Zo Train. Cedric says they’re not here to join The Zo Train, they want a title shot. The difference is that they are willing to earn it, not like Enzo’s gang of suck-ups. Enzo asks if Kalisto has been poisoning their brains. This leads to Swann stepping up to Enzo, calling him nothing but a catchphrase and a t-shirt without his boys. The two sides have words before a big brawl breaks out. Enzo retreats to the floor and watches, smiling. We go to commercial.

Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari, Noam Dar, and Tony Nese (with Enzo Amore) vs. Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Akira Tozawa, and Mustafa Ali

The match is joined in progress and Gulak with a shoulder tackle to Swann. Drew with a rollup for a near fall. Swann with a drop kick and he sets for Rolling Thunder but Enzo pulls Gulak to safety. Swann is confronted by his opponents but Swann’s partners come from the other side and surround them. Enzo goes into the ring but Drew with a Harley Race knee for a near fall. Drew sends Swann into the turnbuckles and Daivari tags in and they hit a double suplex for a near fall.

Daivari with a reverse chin lock. Swann punches Ariya but Daivari stops Swann from getting to his corner. Daivari with a clothesline and Dar tags in. They Irish whip Swann and Dar misses a splash into the corner and Daivari is sent to the floor. Swann with an enzuigiri to Nese on the floor and Gulak collides with Nese. Alexander with a springboard clothesline to Dar and then he sends Nese to the floor. Tozawa with a suicide dive to Gulak.

Dar with a back elbow and Alexander with a handspring round kick. Ali makes the blind tag and Alexander hits Lumbar check on Nese and Ali with an inward 450 splash for the three count.

Winners: Mustafa Ali, Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, and Akira Tozawa

– We go back to last week’s confrontation between Braun Strowman and Kane. We then see what happened earlier tonight.

Backstage:

Renee is trying to get an update from the trainer’s room when Angle walks up. Angle says Braun refused medical attention and he believes Braun left the arena. Renee asks about repercussions for Kane but Angle says he will address it later, he has to check on Jordan now. Jordan says he feels like he let Angle down tonight but Angle dismisses the idea. Miz walks in and makes a case for Angle to nix tonight’s main event. Angle is worried about Jordan. Miz begs him and says he’s not canceling the match, Miz better get ready to defend. Miz leaves. Angle tells Jordan he did not let him down. Jordan says Matt Hardy was right, Braun is a monster among men.

– Still to come, Reigns vs. Miz with the title on the line. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Back from the break and Elias is in the ring with a spotlight and a guitar.

Elias gets some heat as he starts his performance. He says he’s not worried because he’s in a good mood as RAW did great at Survivor Series last night. Elias starts up his newest song but fans interrupt him with chants and boos. Elias tells them to shut up and starts the song again. He stops again and asks a fan to stop clapping along because it’s throwing him off. Elias sings about beating Matt Hardy last night. The music interrupts and out comes Matt to the ring but he’s not wearing ring gear.

Matt enters the ring and Elias immediately attacks him. Matt fights back and takes Elias down. Fans chant for Matt as the brawl continues. Matt beats Elias down in the corner. Elias blocks a Twist of Fate and retreats as fans boo him. Matt’s music hits as he tells Elias to come back for more. They talk some trash.

– Still to come, Reigns vs. The Miz. Back to commercial.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Roman Reigns vs. The Miz

Back from the break and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz for tonight’s main event. Roman Reigns is out next. We get formal ring introductions from JoJo.

The bell rings and Miz goes right to the floor to stall. Reigns ends up chasing Miz back into the ring and Miz tries for a cheap shot but Reigns floors him with a big right hand. Miz drops Reigns over the top and comes back in but has a Skull Crushing Finale blocked. Reigns with another big block before a sitdown powerbomb. Miz kicks out at 2. Miz rolls back to the floor for a breather as we return to commercial.

We are back and both men are down after a suplex from Reigns. Reigns with two clotheslines and then he hits a flying clothesline. Roman with NeverEnding Story to Miz and then he hits a running boot to the head. Roman looks around and he punches the mat. Miz sees Roman and Miz goes to the floor. Roman follows and then he comes off the ring steps but Miz with a kick and he hits a DDT on the floor.

Miz returns to the ring and the referee makes his count. Roman gets that power up at nine to beat the count and get back into the ring. Miz with another DDT and he gets a near fall. Miz with elbows to the neck and a reverse chin lock. Roman gets back to his feet and he punches Miz. Miz hits Reality Check and gets a near fall. Miz chokes Roman in the ropes and hits a running leg lariat to the back of the neck.

Reigns with an uppercut and then he misses a clothesline into the corner. Miz with two running drop kicks into the corner but on the third attempt Roman gets him up on his shoulders. Miz with a rollup for a near fall. Miz is sent to the floor and Roman with an uppercut when Miz returns to the ring. Miz misses the Awesome Clothesline and Miz hits the turnbuckles in an uncomfortable manner. Roman with punches. Miz with a knee to the midsection.

Miz with kicks to the chest. Roman blocks a round kick and hits a Samoan drop for a near fall. Roman prepares for the Superman punch and he punches the mat. Miz blocks the Superman punch but Reigns with a snap mare. Miz clips Roman on a Superman punch and he gets a near fall. Miz kicks Roman and hits the Awesome Clothesline. Miz goes up top and he comes off and is met with a Superman punch for a near fall.

Roman signals for the spear but Sheamus and Cesaro come to the ring. Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale but Roman kicks out. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins come out and they take care of Sheamus and Cesaro. Both men get to their feet and Roman with a spear for the three count.

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Roman Reigns

After the match, Reigns takes the Intercontinental Title for the first time as Rollins and Ambrose join him to celebrate. We go to replays. We come back to Reigns posing with the title. The Shield stands tall as RAW goes off the air.
