– As noted, WWE uploaded several post-Draft reaction videos from superstars, and they ranged from showcasing superstar excitement to superstar frustration.
Perhaps the most “shoot” feeling promo of them all came from Cesaro, and it’s worth noting his post-Draft reaction video is the only one WWE did not upload to its YouTube account.
During the video, Cesaro talks about how he would have been a better fit for the Smackdown brand, since that brand was to be the wrestling show and focus more on the in-ring product. He added that being drafted to Raw is just another “stumble block” he has to overcome, much like his whole career in WWE.
Cesaro also took aim at the Commissioners and GM’s of Raw and Smackdown, and said that’s not what WWE should be focusing on. Below is a quote from Cesaro, and you can watch his entire promo in the video below:
“I think Raw going forward needs to be about the Superstars, it needs to be about the performers in the ring and not about how Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley co-exist. They need to be there to mediate and make the best show, but that does not need to be the focus. So, the focus should be on the Superstar who got drafted. We have Seth Rollins, we have New Day, we have Finn Bálor coming up from NXT – those are the people we should be here talking about. But we’re talking about Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley which is annoying to me.”
