Killer Kross Had Talks With AEW About Working Dynamite Match – W. Morrissey wasn’t the only former WWE star that was pitched to be part of the ongoing Wardlow/MJF storyline. The current Impact Wrestling star made his AEW debut on the May 4 episode of Dynamite that saw him lose to Wardlow.
Fightful Select has reports Killer Kross, formerly known as Karrion Kross, was the other name pitched to do the match and was even approached about being in the role. The report stated the two sides couldn’t come to terms on the appearance and decided against it.
Khan previously said during the post-ROH Supercard Of Honor media scrum that he enjoyed Kross and Scarlett’s work and he was open to doing something with them in the future. Shortly after that show, Kross was approached by AEW, and the plans for the May 4th Dynamite were mentioned.
Once that date got closer, talks fell apart as Kross learned his wife Scarlett would not be a part of the presentation and he was concerned that his introduction to the AEW audience would mimic that of his WWE main roster debut where she wasn’t his manager despite getting over with her in NXT that led to him holding the NXT Title twice.
AEW and Kross are said to be on good terms and there’s a possibility they’ll do business in the future.
Following his WWE release last year, Kross has yet to sign with a top promotion but has been working independent dates in addition to AAA. Kross and Scarlett recently got married in Alaska.
