WWE Has Apparently Added "Attack" On Its Banned Words List

WWE Has Apparently Added “Attack” On Its Banned Words List – During the Raw recap on the latest Bryan and Vinny Show, Bryan Alvarez pointed out how Jimmy Smith corrected himself during the Seth Rollins attack on Cody Rhodes this past Monday in WWE Raw.

Alvarez said that he doesn’t know this for sure but someone he spoke with in WWE believes that the word “attack” is banned because of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

“By the way, I don’t know this 100% so please don’t write some f**king article about this on the internet,” Alvarez said. “But the other night, I don’t know if it was on SmackDown or it was on Raw…but they did one of their 85 post-match angles…I think it was Seth Rollins attacking Cody. He goes ‘Seth Rollins has attacked Cody. I’m sorry, assaulted.’ And they just kept going. I was like, that was f**king weird. And I went back and listened to it again. And sure as sh*t he goes, ‘Seth Rollins has attacked Cody. I’m sorry, assaulted Cody.’ And then he just moves on and I thought is this f**king word banned? And so I asked someone there and unofficially they also believe that you can no longer say the word ‘attack’ and I don’t even want to say this because it will end up as a story but you know they basically said like, ‘Russia attacked Ukraine so we don’t want to use the word attacked. Now you have to say assaulted.’ I was like, what?!”

Alvarez continued, “It was so weird that he said the wrong word and then apologized…So anyway, I don’t think you can say ‘attacked’ in WWE right now.”

As history shows, things can change in WWE from week to week so the word could be banned now and it could be unbanned a week later.
