WWE has finalized a major social media and content highlights distribution agreement with Bleacher Report, expanding the sports media brand’s ringside access and bringing WWE video content to multiple TNT Sports-backed platforms.
According to a report from Sports Business Journal, the multi-year deal grants Bleacher Report rights to capture and publish short-form video content across its digital ecosystem, including Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, and B/R Wrestling.
Expanded Ringside Access And Broadcast Content
The agreement covers digital highlight rights for WWE’s primary weekly television programs—Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT—along with all major Premium Live Events:
“Under terms of the deal, content will come from weekly series like ‘Raw,’ ‘SmackDown,’ and ‘NXT,’ as well as WWE premium live events (WrestleMania, Survivor Series, etc.),” SBJ reported.
As part of the commercial arrangement, Bleacher Report will secure direct credentialed ringside access at select WWE Premium Live Events to create customized social and video coverage:
“B/R will have a ringside presence at select WWE PLEs to gather and disseminate such social and video content,” the report added.
The partnership is scheduled to officially launch on October 10 at WWE Money in the Bank.
Impact On Warner Bros. Discovery And AEW Relationship
Because Bleacher Report operates under parent entity Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD)—the long-time broadcast partner of All Elite Wrestling—industry observers immediately questioned how the deal affects AEW’s relationship with the network.
However, sources indicate WBD views the WWE highlights agreement strictly as a digital monetization strategy similar to its existing coverage of other major sports properties. WBD executives reportedly believe dedicating increased editorial resources to professional wrestling content will ultimately benefit the overall wrestling ecosystem, including AEW.
Furthermore, the arrangement carries no impact on future AEW television rights negotiations. AEW’s current media rights contract with WBD runs through 2027, with WBD holding an option for 2028.
