WWE superstar CM Punk thrilled his hometown Chicago crowd during Saturday’s WWE x AAA Worlds Collide taping at the Allstate Arena, making his entrance to Killswitch Engage’s “This Fire Burns” while donning his iconic Straight Edge Society lucha mask.
The special appearance saw Punk align with El Grande Americano and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio in a six-man tag team contest against Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, alongside Omos.

While the event was taped on September 26 to air on YouTube on September 30, Punk took to Instagram Stories to address the enthusiastic reaction from the Chicago crowd:
“I find myself overwhelmed once again. I don’t have the words to properly express what it feels like to experience such a magical night. I want you to know my gratitude knows no bounds. I am nothing with the fans. Chicago. I love you. A perfect night. Cultures came together and we celebrated. One universal language. Wrestling. Thank you to everyone who came out.
