NXT Results – September 29, 2026 – Welcome to Wrestling Attitude’s live coverage of NXT for September 29, 2026, coming to you from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Footage showed Grayson Waller and Robert Stone talking in the NXT Parking Lot Playset. Stone revealed that Mason Rook isn’t cleared to compete tonight. With Rook out, Stone announced that Waller would defend the NXT Title in an open challenge against anyone on the NXT roster. Waller didn’t seem bothered, and the show rolled straight into the title match.

NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Zaria (c) vs. Thea Hail

Thea Hail came in with momentum after pinning Zaria last week. She also held the North American title for 21 days earlier this year.

Hail jumped Zaria at the bell, immediately trying to isolate the arm with a kimura. Zaria shook her off and rammed her into the corner for repeated head‑first shots. Zaria drove shoulders into Hail’s midsection, but Hail avoided a charge and cartwheeled off the top rope into a boot to the face.

Hail tried a crucifix, and Zaria got a little too confident countering it, leaving herself open for another kimura. Hail held it until Zaria rolled through to break free. Hail followed with an arm drag and dropkick. Zaria bailed to the floor, and Hail dove — but Zaria punched her out of the air.

Back inside, Zaria hammered elbows into Hail’s traps, bounced her head off the buckle, and whipped her hard into the corner. Hail tried to steal one with a rollup and then a backslide, but both only got two. Zaria regained control by hanging Hail from the second rope with a choke.

Zaria locked in a dragon sleeper, but Hail flipped out. Hail threw a kick and hit the ropes, but Zaria blasted her with a headbutt to the chin. Zaria charged, Hail pulled the rope down, and Zaria spilled outside. Hail followed with a dive and then hit a tornado DDT on the floor before throwing Zaria back in.

Hail hit a high crossbody and an exploder suplex, then rolled Zaria up for two. Zaria hit the ropes and Hail returned the earlier headbutt, then hit a meteora. Hail went for a springboard, but Zaria snatched her out of the air with a German suplex. Zaria lined up the spear, but Hail countered straight into the kimura in the center of the ring.

Zaria powered up, stood through the hold, and tried for the F5. Hail countered into another rollup for two. Zaria charged again, hit the spear clean, and followed with the F5. She covered immediately and got the three to retain.

Winner: Zaria

Backstage

Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar were talking with the AAA Tag Team Champions, Galeno and Dr. Wagner Jr. Fraxiom walked in and told Moreno and Dar that they’re winning the Dusty Cup this year. Vanity Project then wandered in and declared themselves the #1 seed, saying they fully expect to meet Galeno and Wagner in the finals.

Myles Borne Addresses the NXT Universe

Myles Borne came to the ring to explain why he keeps targeting his former friend Tavion Heights. Borne said none of this was planned — but when he apologized to Heights, he realized he’d turned himself into something he never wanted to be: a sucker. He felt like he was setting himself up to be one anyway, and that’s why he attacked Heights.

Borne said losing his titles made him think about one man: Ethan Page. Page warned him about friends, saying only one person gets to stand at the top. Borne believes he deserves to be that man, and anything else would mean standing still. Being part of a team was holding him back. So he stomped Heights’ ankle through a chair, the same way he did to Page, and it felt right — because he was finally being himself.

But then the NXT Universe tried to guilt‑trip him. Borne said the support he’s gotten has always been pity, people “filling their social justice cup.” Without him, Heights hasn’t won anything. Alone, Borne became North American Champion.

Borne said it was no surprise he became a double champion — he’s always beating the odds. He’s not the underdog; he’s the favorite. He promised to be the real version of Myles Borne, the one who never breaks. Then he told the audience to go to hell.

Backstage

Izzy Rain was talking with Robert Stone about… something, and Stone told her she’d like what he had to say later. Mini Vikingo and Starboy walked in, and Stone wished them luck in their match. They left. Rain didn’t. She and Stone just stood there watching them go. It was exactly as awkward as it sounds.

Grayson Waller Interview – Open Challenge

Back from break, Grayson Waller was asked about his suddenly‑announced open challenge for the NXT Title. Waller said Mason Rook didn’t have to quit — the doctors already did it for him. He doubled down on his claim that the NXT men’s roster is soft and said tonight is their chance to prove otherwise. Whoever steps up will get the “Grayson Waller Rub,” so he told the locker room to bring it on.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – First‑Round Match: Birthright vs. Mini Vikingo & Chaz “Starboy” Hall

Vikingo and Connors opened the match, with Connors using his size to shove Vikingo into the ropes. Vikingo slipped around him with speed, but Connors caught him and slammed him hard. Stacks tagged in, but Vikingo avoided the double‑team and countered a suplex into a double stomp before tagging Hall.

Hall got tossed by Stacks but came right back with an arm drag. Stacks tripped him and tagged Connors. Hall sent Connors through the ropes and kicked Stacks out after him. Vikingo joined in and the two went for stereo dives — but Stacks and Connors caught them both.

Vikingo got thrown into the post and Hall into the steps. Connors rolled Vikingo back in for a backbreaker. Stacks tagged in, slammed Vikingo, and shoved him into the corner so Connors could hit a double‑team. Vikingo dodged Connors and Stacks long enough to reach Hall for the hot tag.

Hall hit a dropkick on Connors, sending him out with Stacks. Hall followed with a baseball slide, but Stacks caught him and slammed him on the apron. Connors worked him over before Stacks came back in with a choke. Lexis King got a cheap shot in, and Stacks covered for two.

Hall fought out of the corner but couldn’t reach Vikingo. Stacks dropped a knee and tagged Connors. Hall cut him off, but Stacks hit a back elbow and Connors followed with a swanton for two. Hall got a boot up and matrix‑slid into a double Pele kick, finally reaching Vikingo.

Vikingo fired off dropkicks and a tornado DDT on Connors. He hit a standing Spanish Fly on Stacks for two. Stacks shoved Vikingo off the top, but Vikingo adjusted and tagged Hall.

Hall hit a standing shooting star on Stacks, but Connors broke it up. Vikingo tried to help but got thrown out. Hall ate a kick and a stunner from Connors, and Stacks covered — only for Vikingo to dive in off the ropes to break it.

All four brawled until Hall started firing superkicks. Vikingo hit a crucifix bomb on Connors. Stacks went for a springboard, but Vikingo wiped him out. Hall kicked Connors to the floor, where Vikingo hit a twisting dive onto him.

Stacks took a DDT from Hall, and Vikingo — the legal man — hit a twisting 450 to score the pin and advance.

Winners: Mini Vikingo & Chaz “Starboy” Hall

After the match, Birthright tried a beatdown, but Zilla Fatu stormed in and cleared the ring. Stacks took a Samoan Drop and then a Triple Z, sending Birthright scrambling.

Fatu grabbed a mic and said he’s done playing with Birthright. He promised to take them out one by one — he already handled King, and the rest are next. And he’s putting his name in for the open challenge later tonight.

NXT Chronicle – Cruz Montana

An NXT Chronicle package aired focusing on Cruz Montana. He started by shouting out his mother, saying she did whatever she had to do to raise him and his siblings. Montana then talked about his father, who was told he’d be blind by 25. His father drowned himself in his demons, but Montana is grateful for the time they had and said he used his father’s strength to push through his own struggles.

Montana said he’s proud of the example he’s setting for his daughter. He called out Dion Lennox, saying Lennox tried to weaponize Montana’s past against him. Montana made it clear he’s going to finish Dion — because he’s the finisher.

Zaria Finds Her Locker Sabotaged

Zaria walked into the NXT locker room and found her locker plastered with old high‑school photos of herself. The culprit was Izzi Dame, who made sure Zaria saw every embarrassing shot.

Kelani Jordan Addresses the NXT Women’s Division

NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan came down to the ring and ran through her usual promo beats. She said no one left on the women’s roster is good enough to beat her and declared she would only defend the title against a challenger who’s actually worthy.

That brought out Robert Stone on the ramp. Stone told her she wouldn’t be choosing her next opponent — because next week there will be a 20‑woman battle royal, and the winner gets a title shot at Halloween Havoc. The field will include talent from RAW, SmackDown, AAA, EVOLVE, and even TNA.

Before Jordan could react, Reina Volcán blindsided her from behind and announced she’ll be in the battle royal. Stone, the general manager, watched the attack happen and didn’t lift a finger.

Naraku Confronts Robert Stone

Back from break, Naraku met with Robert Stone. Naraku made it clear he wanted to answer tonight’s open challenge for the NXT Title. Before Stone could respond, Saquon Shugars stepped in and said he wanted the shot instead.

Stone shut that down by laying out the schedule: Shugars will face Tristan Angels in two weeks, and Shiloh Hill vs. Naraku is also now official. Naraku didn’t look thrilled, but Stone kept the open challenge door closed on both men.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – First‑Round Match: Fraxiom vs. DarkState

Axiom and Osiris Griffin opened the match, with Axiom cautiously testing Griffin off the ropes. Griffin caught him clean, forcing Axiom to tag Frazer, who grabbed an inverted headlock. Griffin powered out and sent Frazer to the corner. Frazer avoided the charge with a springboard, but Griffin cracked him with a right hand.

Cutler James tagged in and took over, bouncing Frazer’s head off the turnbuckles and drilling him with an uppercut before hitting a powerslam. Frazer answered with a kick and scrambled to tag Axiom. Fraxiom hit a double‑team to drop both Griffin and James, but DarkState fired back with heavy shots and a backbreaker on Axiom.

Griffin dropped elbows on Axiom and hit a Vader Bomb out of the corner. He choked Axiom on the ropes and dragged him to the DarkState corner for more punishment. Axiom spilled to the outside, scrambled back in, and Griffin blasted him with an uppercut.

James tagged in and slapped on a headlock. Axiom fought out and dropkicked James in the knee. James responded with a back elbow and a gutwrench knee slam. Axiom reached for a tag, but James held him and threw him into the corner. James charged, Axiom dodged, and finally reached Frazer.

Griffin rushed in and Frazer hit him with an axe handle, a chop, and a dropkick. James tried to help, but Frazer sent him outside and dove onto him. Frazer went up top and hit a frog splash on Griffin for two.

Fraxiom climbed together and hit a double dropkick from the top on Griffin, but James broke the cover and sent Frazer outside. Griffin turned Axiom inside out and hit a neckbreaker, but Axiom kicked out. Frazer returned with a dropkick to break up a double‑team and isolated James.

Axiom pulled James up top for a Spanish Fly and then wiped out Griffin on the floor. Frazer followed with a fenix splash on James and made the cover to advance.

Winners: Fraxiom

Birthright tried to jump Fraxiom after the bell, but Zilla Fatu stormed in and cleared the ring. Stacks took a Samoan Drop and then a Triple Z, sending Birthright running.

Fatu grabbed a mic and said he’s done playing with Birthright. He promised to take them out one by one — he already handled King, and the rest are next. And he’s putting his name forward for the open challenge later tonight.

Kendal Grey – Therapy Session

Another round of Kendal Grey’s therapy aired. Her therapist asked what she does outside wrestling, and Grey admitted she doesn’t really have a life beyond the ring. She said she tried picking up hobbies — guitar, painting — but nothing held her interest. She even tried learning Spanish on an app but quit quickly.

The therapist shifted the conversation toward balance, asking about relationships and anything that might ground her outside the job. Grey said she’s focused entirely on returning to competition. The therapist suggested that the lack of anything else in her life might be part of what’s keeping her stuck.

Grey paused, saying she doesn’t know how to stop pushing herself harder. The therapist asked what happens when working harder stops being enough. Grey didn’t have an answer — just a quiet, “That’s a good question…”

Izzi Dame Called Into Robert Stone’s Office

Back from break, Izzi Dame was summoned to Robert Stone’s office. Stone wanted answers about whatever is going on between her and Zaria. Dame insisted nothing was happening. Stone didn’t buy it and responded by putting both Dame and Zaria into next week’s 20‑woman battle royal.

NXT Championship Open Challenge – Chaos Before the Bell

Grayson Waller came out for his open challenge, taking shots at Mason Rook and the entire NXT locker room. With Rook medically disqualified, Robert Stone opened the door to anyone on the active roster — and everyone took that literally.

The NXT roster stormed out from every direction, shoving and clawing to be the first one into the ring. Zilla Fatu and Cruz Montana blocked each other from entering, only for Dion Lennox and DarkState to jump them. In the chaos, EK Prosper slipped in from the opposite side. The bell rang immediately.

NXT Championship Match: Grayson Waller (c) vs. EK Prosper

Prosper blindsided Waller with pure speed, running circles around him in the opening stretch. He sent Waller outside, dove onto him, threw him back in, and unloaded with dropkicks and punches. Waller couldn’t match the pace, but he snuck in a sharp uppercut to slow Prosper down.

Prosper whipped Waller into the corner and they traded chops. Prosper hit a dropkick to the back of the head. Waller grabbed Prosper by the belt and threw him face‑first into the turnbuckles. Waller set up in the corner for punches, but Prosper fired back with a dropkick and landed ten punches of his own.

Waller flattened Prosper with a back elbow for two. He threw elbows into Prosper’s face and choked him on the ropes. Waller tried a suplex, but Prosper rolled him up for two. Prosper slammed Waller and hit double knees off the turnbuckle.

Waller answered with a double stomp for two. He ripped off his elbow pads and drove the point into Prosper’s face. A side kick got another two. Waller hit a suplex and threw knees into Prosper’s jaw. Prosper fought back with kicks, but Waller muscled him up into an elevated electric chair.

Prosper ate a forearm, then blasted Waller with a pump kick. Waller tried again to lift him, but Prosper countered with a stunner. Prosper climbed up top, but Waller kicked him down. Prosper hit a side kick on the apron and tried to drag Waller off the ropes, but Waller held on.

Waller grabbed Prosper and dropped him face‑first on the exposed turnbuckle metal. Prosper spilled to the floor clutching his throat. Waller stepped on his neck and ran him into the steel steps. He even tried to take a little girl’s replica belt — she refused.

Waller rolled back in, hoping for a countout. Prosper barely made it back at eight. Waller toyed with him in the corner, throwing elbows and kicks. He lured Prosper into a tarantula, then clocked him and went for a cocky cover. Prosper kicked out.

Prosper rallied with punches and kicks. Waller hit a back elbow and set up a superplex. Prosper blocked it, knocked Waller down, hit a superkick, and placed Waller on the turnbuckle — but Waller slipped out and crotched Prosper.

Waller hit a DVD for two. He looked ready to finish it. He climbed the second rope, but Prosper surprised him with a headscissors. Prosper hit a superkick and a tornado DDT off the ropes. He followed with a Michinoku Driver — Waller kicked out at 2.5.

Waller throat‑punched Prosper and hit a modified curb stomp for another two. Prosper tried a springboard, but Waller knocked him into the top rope. Prosper fell outside, where Waller clotheslined him and cleared the announce table. Waller set Prosper on it and climbed the ringpost.

Prosper scrambled up and knocked him down. Prosper laid Waller out on the table and hit a springboard moonsault, sending both crashing through it. Prosper threw Waller back in and hit a frog splash — Waller got his foot on the ropes at two.

Prosper tried a dive, but Waller met him with a shot and hit a stunner. Prosper staggered up, and Waller hit a second stunner. Waller slowly covered and retained the NXT Championship.

Winner: Grayson Waller

DarkState’s Osiris Griffin and Cutler James meet Nathan Frazer and Axiom, while BirthRight’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors face Chazz “Starboy” Hal and Mini Vikingo. Last week saw Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno advance, along with The Creed Brothers, tightening the field as the tournament pushes toward the quarterfinals.

Myles Borne Addresses Last Week’s Attack

Myles Borne is set to appear after blindsiding Tavion Heights with a Borne Again following his fake public apology earlier this month. Borne’s shift in attitude continues to escalate, and tonight’s show should reveal what his next move is after betraying his former partner.
