WWE To Load Up NXT Against AEW Grand Slam France On October 6

WWE’s escalating head-to-head competition with All Elite Wrestling looks set to continue into October.

As AEW prepares to make history with its debut in continental Europe, WWE is reportedly lining up main roster reinforcements for WWE NXT to counterprogram the broadcast.

NXT To Get Major Main Roster Star Power On October 6

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE management is expected to feature at least one major main roster star on the Tuesday, October 6 episode of NXT.

The broadcast will go directly head-to-head with a special Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite, which will broadcast AEW Grand Slam: France from the Adidas Arena in Paris:

“It is also presumed NXT will have at least one big main roster name when it goes head-to-head with Tuesday Dynamite.”

The October 6 broadcast marks a massive milestone for Tony Khan’s promotion:

Continental Europe Debut: Grand Slam: France represents AEW’s first-ever live event held in France or continental Europe.
Double Television Taping: The event inside Paris’ Adidas Arena will feature tapings for both AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision.
rematch Set: The show already features a high-profile grudge match, with Chris Jericho taking on Nick Wayne following Wayne’s betrayal and assault on Jericho during the September 16 episode of Dynamite.

The Head-To-Head Pattern Continues

While WWE has not officially announced which main roster talent will appear on NXT, the move follows a clear pattern of strategic counterprogramming.
