NXT superstar Dorian Van Dux has officially been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition following a brief hiatus caused by a punctured lung.
The positive medical news clears the way for Van Dux to align with “Super” Sean Legacy as scheduled for the upcoming Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Phone Call Confirms In-Ring Clearance
The medical update was revealed directly via social media by his tag team partner:
- Instagram Video Announcement: Sean Legacy posted a video capturing a phone call from Van Dux, who confirmed he had just finished a cardio evaluation session and received final medical approval from doctors.
- Prior Absence: Van Dux was forced to miss the September 22 episode of NXT after revealing he had suffered a punctured lung, removing him from a scheduled six-man tag team match alongside Legacy and Zilla Fatu against BirthRight (Lexis King, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Uriah Connors).
- Replacement: E.K. Prosper filled in for Van Dux during that six-man tag contest while Van Dux recovered.
With his medical clearance secured, Van Dux and Legacy are locked in to square off against the Tokyo Bad Boys in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
