As noted a few weeks ago, Kay Lee Ray has a new name.
During tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0, a vignette aired for Kay Lee Ray in which she said that fire represents rebirth. She added that to understand her, she must resurrect her past. Ray then revealed her name to be Alba Fyre.
Ray last competed at NXT Stand & Deliver in a Fatal Four-Way Match for the NXT Women’s Championship. She earned her spot in that match by winning the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside of Io Shirai.
Kay Lee Ray is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, holding the belt for nearly 650 days before dropping it to Meiko Satomura.
Other recent name changes include Kacy Catanzaro becoming Katana Chance and the former Rok-C debuting under the name of Roxanne Perez.
