NXT Announces Women’s Breakout Tournament – During tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0, Vic Joseph revealed that on May 10, the first-ever NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament will commence. Thus far, Arianna Grace (Santino Marella’s daughter), Kiana James (Rok-C) and Sloane Jacobs are the only two names that have been announced for the tournament.
WWE has been holding the Men’s Breakout Tournament since 2019 and it’s the first time the company has revealed a Women’s Breakout Tournament. For those not in the know, Carmelo Hayes won the last Men’s Breakout Tournament.
The Women’s Breakout Tournament seems to be WWE’s reimagining of the Mae Young Classic. WWE held two back-to-back Mae Young Classic events in 2017 and 2018.
