NXT 2.0 Results (4/26)

We are live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL, as Nikkita Lyons makes her way to the ring for our first match of the night.

Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend

Legend gets in the ring and goes after Lyons.  Legend misses a kick and Lyons with kicks to Legend and a round kick.  Legend with a chop.  Lyons with a Thesz Press and she punches Legend.  Lyons with more punches but Legend gets to the ropes.  Legend sends Lyons through the ropes to the floor.  Legend with a flying hip strike to knock Lyons off the apron.  Legend goes to the floor and sends Lyons into the ring steps.  Legend pulls Lyons back onto the apron but Lyons pulls Legend’s shoulder into the ropes.  Legend with a double leg take down and punches.

Legend with a knee to the ribs.  Lyons with a rollup for a near fall.  Legend with a knee.  Legend with a side slam for a near fall.  Legend works on the neck.  Legend with a knee to the back and she continues to work on the neck.  Legend with a snap mare to escape.  Lyons blocks a kick and Legend with a back elbow.  Legend with kicks and knees.  Lyons with a suplex and a German suplex.  Lyons with forearms to the back and a forearm into the corner.  Legend with punches from the corner.  Lyons gets on the turnbuckles and punches Legend but Legend sets for a power bomb but Lyons counters with a rana.   Lyons with a spinning round kick to the midsection for the three count.

Winner:  Nikkita Lyons

After the match, Natalya attacks Lyons and Legend holds Lyons for Natalya to punch her.  Cora Jade makes the save for Nikkita Lyons and uses her skateboard on Legend. Jade swings at Natalya with the skateboard but misses.  Lyons kicks Natalya.

— Tony D’Angelo walks in the back and he says he was supposed to face Xyon Quinn, but he is not cleared to wrestle.  Now he has to face Von Wagner.  When he is done with Mr. Excitement, he will be swimming with the fishes.  You know about that Santos?

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Roderick Strong says they have to take things seriously.  He says this group is too good to crumble like his last group.  Brutus and Julius, you lost twice for the title, but you act like you were at the top of the mountain.  Roderick tells them to stop making excuses.  You have to be ready for anybody at any time.  Strong says the Creeds will be facing former tag team champions. The Viking Raiders show up and The Creeds say they will see them next week.

— We see what happened with Bron Breakker at the end of last week’s show.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Von Wagner

They lock up and Wagner pushes Tony away.  They lock up and Von sends Tony into the turnbuckles shoulder first.  Tony avoids Wagner and slaps Von.  Tony with a forearm.  Tony with a waist lock and Von stays on his feet.  They lock up and Von with a waist lock take down.  Tony goes for the leg and Von backs into the ropes.  Von with a forearm to the back and shoulders in the corner.  Wagner with a back elbow.  Tony with punches and he escapes a slam.  Tony with knees but Wagner with knees of his own.  Von with a forearm to the back.  Tony with a kick and he tries for a suplex but Von blocks it.

Von chokes Tony in the ropes. Tony with a drop toe hold that sends Von into the ropes and then Von is sent to the floor. Tony with a reverse atomic drop and he clotheslines Von over the top rope to the floor. Von pulls Tony to the floor and runs Tony into the apron and hits a back drop driver onto the apron. Von with punches and an elbow drop. Von with shoulders in the corner followed by an Irish whip. Von iwth an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Von with a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Tony with a rollup for a near fall.

Von with a fallaway slam.  Von with boots to D’Angelo.  Von with a snap mare and a reverse chin lock.  Tony with elbows and punches.  Von with a Harley Race knee for a near fall.  Von with a forearm to the head and he returns to the reverse chin lock.  Tony with a jaw breaker.  Tony with a kick to the knee and punches.  Von with forearms and a reverse chin lock into a sleeper.  Tony backs Von into the corner andTony with an elbow.  Von with a spine buster for a near fall.   Von with an elbow and Tony with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Von misses a short arm clothesline and Tony with a belly-to-belly suplex.  Tony with punches and Von fires back.

They continue the exchange.  Tony with a double leg take down and punches.  Tony with punches and an exploder.  Von with a clothesline.  Von gets Tony on his shoulders but Tony escapes.  Von sends Tony to the apron.

Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde come out and then Tony’s hat wearing associates come out to stop Wilde and Cruz.  Santos Escobar hits Tony in the leg with a crowbar.  Tony gets back into the ring before the ten count.  Von with a clothesline for the three count.

Winner:  Von Wagner

— We go to the women’s lounge and Persia and Indi tell Roxanne they were so proud of her. Toxic Attraction show up and say it smells like trsh.  Mandy says you don’t put Roxanne in the Hall of Fame over one win.  Jacy says that pajama girl helped her win. Roxanne says she has no problem proving last week wasn’t a fluke. Mandy says she gets what Roxanne is doing.  She says she will show the difference between a champion and someone who dreams of being a champion.

— We have a video package for Nathan Frazer.

We go to commercial.

— Josh Briggs, Fallon Henley, and Brooks Jensen talk about their match and Henley says she is tired of Elektra and Legado and can’t wait to punch Elektra in her mouth. Brooks is distracted by a woman walking past him and Josh tells him to focus.

— Next week, Natalya and Lash Legend will face Cora Jade and Nikkita Lyons.

Nathan Frazer vs. Guru Raaj

We go back to the ring as Bodhi Hayward waits. The music hits and out next comes NXT UK Superstar Nathan Frazer making his NXT 2.0 debut. Grayson Waller suddenly appears out of nowhere at ringside, pulling Bodhi out of the ring and taking him out at ringside. A confused Frazer looks on from the entrance-way.

Waller takes the mic and starts ripping into Frazer, saying no one cares about Frazer as this is Waller’s NXT, and he will get embarrassed if he comes any closer to the ring. Waller says he doesn’t need Sanga or anyone else. The Chase University student group chants “you suck!” from the crowd and Waller starts yelling at them for last week’s distraction. Andre Chase comes down from his student group in the crowd, and has words for Waller.

Waller turns around to Frazier suddenly nailing a missile dropkick from the top to take Waller down. Frazer unloads on Waller, sending him to the floor. Frazer runs the ring and nails a big dive to the floor, taking Frazer down again. Chase and Bodhi are in the ring with Frazer now. Chase tells Waller what we have here… is a teachable moment! Fans pop as Chase, Hayward and Frazer stand tall together while Waller is still down on the ramp. We go to replays.

— Vic mentions there will be a Women’s Breakout tournament in two weeks.

We get a vignette for Arianna Grace (Santino Marella’s daughter). Grace says she is competing in the Breakout tournament.  She says she is a former beauty queen but she has training in boxing and MMA.  She throws caution to the wind and that is what you are going to see in the Breakout Tournament.

We go to commercial.

— Tiffany Stratton is with McKenzie Mitchell and Tiffany says everyone saw her victory but Sarray pulled her hair three times. Grayson Waller shows up and wants to know who is Nathan Frazer. Tiffany says Nathan’s hair looks like straw and he has a terrible accent. Waller and Stratton have made a connection. Waller says Frazer can debut against him.

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter vs. Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon

Carter and Leon start things off and Leon flips over Carter.  Carter with a take down and she dances back.  Leon lands on her feet on a hip toss and hits a drop kick.  Feroz with an assisted head scissors and Carter goes to the floor.  Feroz shows that she can dance too.  Carter forces Feroz to the floor.  Carter with a springboard kick when they return to the ring.  Chance tags in and Carter with a drop kick to Feroz in the ropes while Chance holds her.  Chance with a splash for a near fall.  Chance misses a drop kick and Feroz with an arm bar.  Chance gets a near fall.  Carter catches Chance when Feroz tries to send her to the apron.  Chance with a cross body for a near fall. 

Carter tags in and they send Feroz into the ropes and connect with kicks to the head.  Carter gets a near fall.  Carter with an arm bar.  Feroz gets a near fall.  Carter with forearms.  Feroz with a forearm.  Carter gets Feroz up and Chance tags in and hits a slingshot senton while Carter holds the ropes.  Chance with a seated abdominal stretch.  Feroz with a hip toss and kick.  Leon tags in and so does Carter.  Leon with clotheslines and a clothesline into the ropes.  Leon goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall.  Leon gets Carter up and tags in Feroz.  Leon with a slam and she presses Feroz over her head and drops Feroz onto Carter for a near fall.

Chance sends Leon to the floor.  Carter rolls up Feroz for a near fall.  Carter with a forearm but Chance is pulled off the apron.  Feroz with an octopus into a head scissors.  Leon tags in and Feroz with a snap mare.  Leon misses a quebrada when Carter moves.  Feroz tags in and she sends Carter into the ropes.  Chance makes the tag and Feroz falls over Carter.  Carter with a neck breaker while Chance hits a 450 splash for the three count.

Winners:  Kayden Carter and Katana Chance

— We go to the back and Brooks Jensen is being checked out by officials.  Briggs is told that Jensen is not able to go tonight.  Briggs says this leaves them no choice.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and the former Kay Lee Ray says she is a fighter and a champion.  She has to resurrect her past to understand her.  Fire represents life.  It is a rebirth of where she comes from.  She is Alba Fyre.

Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro vs. Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley

They brawl before the bell rings and Briggs sends Cruz and Wilde to the floor.  Lopez and Henley start things off and Lopez with a slam and she misses an elbow drop.  Wilde tags in and Briggs with a forearm to Wilde and he brings Cruz into the ring.  Briggs tosses Cruz into Wilde.  Henley kicks Lopez and then Henley and Briggs punch Wilde and Lopez.  Wilde begs for mercy and Cruz goes for a cross body but Briggs catches him.  Wilde with a chop block.  Wilde works on the injured leg.  Wilde kicks Briggs and connects with a knee.  Wilde with a knee drop to the leg and Cruz with a slingshot senton and drop kick for a near fall.   Cruz and Wilde alternate clotheslines into the corner.  Cruz with a kick in the corner followed by a double belly-to-back suplex.

Wilde with a splash off Cruz’ shoulders for a near fall.  Wilde with a kick to the ribs.  Henley with a cross body to Lopez followed by punches and a flying shoulder tackle and clothesline.  Henley with a single leg drop kick for a near fall.  Lopez kicks Henley and Wilde tags in and hits a drop kick.  Briggs with a shoudler tackle and side slam followed by a splash for a near fall.  Heney with a Thesz Press on Lopez and they fight to the floor.  They fight to the back.

Briggs catches Wilde and sends him into the corner.  Wilde with a boot and Cruz tags in.  Cruz with a springboard drop kick.  They hit the running kick and side Russian leg sweep combination for the three count.

Winners:  Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, and Elektra Lopez

— McKenzie is in the back with Natalya and Lash Legend.  Natalya says that Cora did not get the message a few weeks ago.  It is only fitting that next week is Spring Breakin.  She is going to break Cora’s legs and put the locker room on notice.  Natalya says she noticed Lash Legend.  Lash says she is teaming with a legend and they will take care of them next week.  Legend says she is going to take that momentum into the Breakout Tournament.

— North American Champion Cameron Grimes makes his way to the ring to join Vic and Wade for the next match. We go to commercial.

— We are back and Kiana James says she is bringing sophistication into the tournament.  She has run the numbers.  In the ring and in the corporate world, she is relentless.

Trick Williams vs. Solo Sikoa

They lock up and Sikoa with a wrist lock.  Williams with a back flip to escape followed by a kick.  Trick works on the arm and sends Sikoa shoulder first into the turnbuckles.  Williams sends Sikoa into the turnbuckles shoulder first one more time.  Williams sends Sikoa into the other two turnbuckles.  Williams with an arm bar.  Sikoa with a snap mare and shoulder tackle.  Sikoa with a shoulder tackle and slam.  Sikoa works on the arm.  Sikoa continues to work on the arm.  Sikoa with a chop.  Sikoa with an arm bar.  Williams with a kick and a spinning back heel kick.  Williams kicks Sikoa.  Williams with a slam.  Williams with a drop kick.  Williams with a snap neck breaker for a near fall.

Williams with an arm bar.  Williams with a kick and Sikoa wants more.  Siko blocks a kick and hits a belly-to-back suplex.  Sikoa with punches and an uppercut.  Sikoa with punches and a splash into the corner.  Sikoa with an Irish whip and splash followed by a belly-to-back suplex.  Sikoa goes up top and hits a frog splash for the three count.

Winner:  Solo Sikoa

After the match, Grimes and Sikoa are in the ring and they have some words.  Hayes interrupts and Sikoa tries to kick Hayes but kicks Grimes instead when Hayes moves.

— Edris Enofe and Malik Blade are in the back.  Blade talks about their match wtih the Viking Raiders.  Enofe says they have this.  He says he sees a man with heart, speed, and power.  He sees a badass who is not afraid of anything.  He tells Blade to see what he sees in the mirror.  Blade says he sees a man with speed, power, and someone who is not afraid of anyone.

We go to commecial.

— We are back and Legado Del Fantasma says it was all about victory tonight.  Santos says that last week Tony knew nothing about the two men in suits last week.  Tonight he proved that Tony is a lowlife and Tony got a taste of his own medicine.  

Edris Enofe and Malik Blade vs. The Viking Raiders

Ivar and Blade start off and Ivar with a shoulder tackle.  Enofe tags in and so does Erik.  They lock up and Erik backs Enofe into the corner.  Erik with a clean break.  Erik with a double leg take down and an arm bar.  Enofe leaps onto Erik’s back when Erik goes for a back drop.  Blade tags in and Blade with a kick and Enofe with a back elbow.  Blade gets a near fall.  Enofe tags in.  Erik with an Irish whip and Enofe floats over and Erik with a shoulder tackle.  Ivar tags in and they connect with forearms to Enofe.  Ivar with elbows in the corner.  Erik tags back in and Enofe with punches and Erik with a knee for a near fall.  Erik with an arm bar.

Enofe with punches and Erik misess a double knee strike in the corner when Enofe moves.  Ivar tags in and Enofe lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt.  Blade with drop kicks and Ivar stays on his feet.  Blade with a clotheslien and then he goes up top.  Ivar catches Blade and Enofe with a cross body that sends Ivar to the mat and Enofe gets a near fall.  Blade tags in and Ivar with a seated splash.to Enofe and a back drop to Enofe.  Erik tags in and then Ivar ags in.  They hit a double choke slam for the three count.

Winners: The Viking Raiders

After the match, The Viking Raiders shake hands with Enofe and Blade. Julius and Brutus Creed make their way to the aisle for a stare down.

— Wes Lee says it was a six month journey to get back to the tag titles.  Winning the titles was great, but losing the titles sucked.  When a championship is taken without losing, anger is created.  You cannot forget the past but the future brings new challenges.  There are two ways I can go about it.  I can bitch and complain about how things aren’t fair.  I can knuckle up and face my destiny.

— Toxic Attraction walks in the back as we go to commercial.

— We are back and McKenzie asks Tony about his loss. Tony says Santos doesn’t make the threats because he does.  Tony introduces Santos to his boys.  Channing Lorenzo and Troy Donovan .  He says Santos knows messing with him is a mistake.  They need to do this man to man before he takes things into his own hands because Santos won’t like it.

Roxanne Perez vs. Mandy Rose

They lock up and Mandy backs Perez into the ropes and then sends Perez to the turnbuckles.  Perez with a waist lock and Rose with a wrist lock.  Rose with an arm wringer.  Rose holds on to the wrist lock and sends Perez to the mat.  Rose holds on to the wrist lock while Perez gets to Mandy’s shoulders and gets a near fall with a victory roll.  Perez with arm drags and a handstand head scissors into a rollup for a near fall.  Mandy with a punch and Perez with a rollup for a near fall.  Perez with a crucifix for a near fall.  Mandy with a punch.  Mandy pokes Perez and Perez bits Mandy’s hand and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Mandy with a kick and she sends Perez to the floor.

Perez slams the hand into the ring steps.  Gigi and Jacy check on Mandy and then Mandy has the referee check her hand.  Perez kicks the hand and Mandy falls to the floor in pain.  Mandy gets back into the ring.  Perez rolls to the floor and draws Mandy to the floor.  Perez gets back into the ring and hits a leg sweep and rolling senton.  Mandy with forearms and punches.  Perez with a guillotine but Mandy gets to the ropes.  Perez stands on Mandy’s hand and then stomps on it.  Perez returns to the guillotine.  Mandy backs Perez into the turnbuckles to get out of the hold.  Mandy with a spinebuster.  Perez with a forearm and Mandy with a back body drop.

Mandy gets a near fall.  Mandy sends Perez into the turnbuckles.  Mandy with a back breaker and she stretches Perez over her knee.  Mandy slaps Perez but Perez with knees to escape from Mandy.  Mandy pulls Perez out of the corner and Mandy tries to catapult Perez into the ropes and does so.  Perez lands on Mandy’s knees and Mandy gets a near fall.  Mandy with a boot to the midsection.  Mandy chokes Perez in the ropes.  Mandy with a slam.  Perez with an elbow and boot to Mandy.

Perez goes to the turnbuckles and hits a Thesz Press and punches Rose.   Perez with an uppercut to Rose followed by a side Russian leg sweep and a handspring elbow drop for a near fall.   Perez goes for Code Red but Mandy blocks it.  Perez with an arm drag and rollup for a near fall.  Perez with another near fall.  Rose with a jumping knee for the three count.

Winner:  Mandy Rose

After the match, Wendy Choo shows up on the apron and Toxic Attraction runs away. Toxic Attraction stand in the aisle and Wendy pushes a button to release a net and then Wendy and Roxanne spray silly string.

— We take a look at Sloane Jacobs and she mentions she is in the Breakout Tournament.  She says she is 19 years old so she is probably the underdog.  She knows this will be grueling but she is going to make it through the tournament.

— Joe Gacy appears through the smoke and THEY AREN”T druids and he says let’s change the world.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and next week, Natalya and Lash Legend face Cora Jade and Nikkita Lyons.  Nathan Frazer faces Grayson Waller.  The Creeds face the Viking Raiders.  Cameron Grimes defends the North American championship against Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes.  There will also be a sit down meeting between Tony D’Angelo and Santos Escobar.

Joe Gacy makes his way to the ring.  

Gacy takes the mic and says we’ve come so far on our journey to changing and embracing the world, so many triumphs and barriers broken for people that have been discriminated against because of their weight. Gacy says NXT is the clay that he has slowly been molding over the last six months, clay of acceptance, acceptance of everyone and anyone. Gacy says we’ve made great strides but the mission isn’t quite accomplished yet.

The dark disciples surround the ring now. Gacy says he doesn’t think everyone buys into that way of life, and he asks why? Gacy gets loud now and says it’s time to step out and separate from those who want to keep living in the past, commit to the future, commit to his vision, do it willingly because after NXT Spring Breakin’, there will be no choice. Gacy says NXT Champion Bron Breakker has not told us about his injury and that’s because Gacy knows Bron is not cleared to defend the NXT Title because of what Gacy did last week, and because of Bron’s fall from grace. Gacy says he will be crowned the new NXT Champion next week, and the mold and clay that is NXT will be hardened into the vision as he sees the world.

The music interrupts and out comes 2022 WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner to a big pop. The crowd barks for Rick as he enters the ring with Gacy staring him down. Rick says Gacy has it all wrong, his son is cleared to compete and he will defend his title at NXT Spring Breakin’. Gacy says Mr. Steiner, you picked a great time to come back or did you pick the worst possible time?

The masked disciples hit the apron now, surrounding Gacy and Steiner. The music interrupts and out comes Breakker to a big pop. Bron drops the title at the entrance-way, and starts beating up disciples on the way to the ring. Bron enters the ring and beats up more disciples. There are some disciples holding Steiner back. Gacy hides behind another disciple but Bron attacks the guy and sends him to the floor. Gacy jumps out of the way but comes right back and levels Bron to the mat. The disciples have formed a line from the entrance-way to the ring now. They pick up Bron’s NXT Title belt and pass it down the line, to Gacy in the ring.

Gacy takes the NXT Title belt and raises it over Breakker now. Gacy’s music hits as he raises the NXT Title over Breakker while the crowd boos him. The NXT Spring Breakin’ go-home edition of NXT 2.0 goes off the air.
