WWE RAW ran a “season premiere” episode this week, featuring a new look and commentators.
It was an event-filled episode with some legends and big title matches on the card, and it resulted in a boost in viewership. It wound up averaging 2.569 million viewers over three hours, which is far higher than last week’s 2.209 million viewers.
The first hour of Raw averaged 2.701 million viewers. Hour two drew 2.592 million viewers. The final hour of the show averaged 2.416 million viewers. Raw finished fourth, fifth, and sixth in cable ratings in the 18-49 demographic. The numbers shot up for the “season premiere” hype even though Monday Night Football did around the same number as last week with 10.467 million viewers for ESPN.
