As noted, there were several executives not at WWE Raw last night. In the case of Bruce Prichard, he was reportedly not at the show because he has been dealing with a health issue, per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“No Vince at the show, No Bruce Prichard. There’s an issue with Bruce Prichard, ” Meltzer said. “I’m not exactly clear, I just heard a health issue and he’s been sick. He was sick a couple of weeks ago and he’s missed other shows, I believe. Vince, Kevin Dunn, Michael Hayes wasn’t at the show…I think those were the main people that were not at the show tonight but I think those are precautionary measures.”
Meltzer discussed how some of the names (talent and people behind the scenes) were not at Raw and some of the recent house shows because WWE wants to protect the key matches at Day 1 on Saturday. The idea for Day 1 is for that show to become one of the big pay-per-view events of the year and they have big plans for the Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar match.
As for Bruce Prichard, we’ll post an update if we hear more.
