Title Match Pulled From Tonight’s NXT 2.0 Debut – Tonight’s NXT episode on the USA Network will feature a reset for the brand. The show will have a new look and feel, and a new creative direction that reportedly includes more characters. The Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando will also have a new look to it.
The company announced a loaded show with two title matches, however, one title match has been nixed. Fightful Select reportes that the announced match between Franky Monet and Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship will not be taking place.
Although it wasn’t noted why this match was pulled, it was reported that “the company was aware of the change by Monday morning.” It was also not confirmed whether Raquel Gonzalez or Frankie Monet will appear on the show tonight in another role.
Tonight’s show will be headlined by the wedding of Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis, plus a Fatal 4 Way for the vacant NXT Title after Samoa Joe was forced to relinquish the strap due to an injury. The Fatal 4 Way will feature LA Knight, Tommaso Ciampa, Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly.
