Trick Williams Lays Out Joe Hendry Again on TNA iMPACT! – The May 1st edition of TNA iMPACT! Live ended with Trick Williams once again making a dominant statement at the expense of TNA World Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry.
In the night’s main event, Hendry teamed up with The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) to face the trio of Frankie Kazarian and The Nemeths (Ryan Nemeth & Nic Nemeth). As the match reached its climax, Trick Williams made a surprise appearance and yanked Hendry out of the ring, slamming him into the steel steps. The interference paved the way for Kazarian and The Nemeths to pick up the win over the veteran babyface team.
After the bell, Trick delivered his signature Trick Shot knee to Hendry, leaving the champion laid out once again—just as he had done days earlier at TNA Rebellion. At that pay-per-view, Hendry had successfully retained his title in a triple threat match against Kazarian and Ethan Page, only to be blindsided by Trick’s running knee to close the show.
Williams didn’t wait for the main event to make his presence felt on iMPACT! either. He opened the show via satellite with a pointed warning for Hendry, signaling that his sights remain firmly on the TNA World Championship.
This marks the second time in less than a week that Trick has physically taken out Hendry, escalating tensions and all but confirming that he’s positioning himself as the next major challenger for the title.
