WWE Releases Several Staffers Across Multiple Departments – WWE enacted another round of internal staff cuts on Thursday, with multiple departments affected, according to a new report from PWInsider. Among the most notable names released was Christine Lubrano, who had been serving as WWE’s Senior Vice President, Creative Writing Operations.
Lubrano joined WWE in January 2021 and played a key role in the company’s creative structure. She was responsible for managing all strategic operations within WWE’s creative division. The RAW, SmackDown, and NXT writing teams reported directly to both Lubrano and Bruce Prichard, with the two ultimately answering to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Before joining WWE, Lubrano had an extensive background in television, previously holding the position of Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development at IFC.
PWInsider noted that Lubrano’s departure was one of many on the day. Their report stated, “The belief is at least 10-12 staffers were cut today, possibly more.” These cuts were not limited to creative; departments such as creative services, photography, and other internal areas also experienced reductions.
While WWE has yet to officially confirm the staffing changes, these internal adjustments follow similar corporate restructuring trends seen in recent months under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella, which has focused on streamlining operations across both WWE and UFC.
It’s unclear if more cuts are expected in the coming days, but Thursday’s developments point to a broader recalibration behind the scenes at WWE.
