AEW Collision Viewership Drops on May 3 – The May 3rd episode of AEW Collision saw a steep decline in viewership, drawing just 341,000 viewers on TBS, according to Wrestlenomics. The episode marked a significant drop from the 707,000 viewers recorded for the April 26th show, which benefited from a strong lead-in from the NBA Playoffs and aired on TNT.
The 18–49 demographic rating also took a hit, pulling a 0.06, compared to 0.21 the previous week.
This drop-off can be largely attributed to several key factors. Most notably, Collision was bumped to TBS on May 3 due to TNT airing Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs between the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets, which dominated Saturday night television with 3.77 million viewers and a 1.20 P18–49 rating. AEW also faced stiff competition from the NHL Playoffs on ABC, which featured a Game 7 showdown between the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars.
Despite the lower TV viewership, AEW’s YouTube channel still saw moderate engagement from Saturday’s show. The most viewed segments from the May 3 Collision included:
- Toni Storm retains the AEW Women’s World Title and cuts a promo – 111K views
- Jon Moxley sends a message to Samoa Joe – 107K views
- FTR vs. Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong (2-out-of-3 Falls Match) – 104K views
- Big Bill & Bryan Keith brawl with Gates of Agony in a parking lot fight – 88K views
- Megan Bayne vs. Harley Cameron – 83K views
While the switch to TBS and sports competition hurt Collision’s live audience, AEW will look to rebound in upcoming weeks with a return to its regular time slot and network.
