9/2 WWE RAW Results – We are live from the Ball Arena in Denver, CO, where Wade Barrett is in the ring and he welcomes everyone to Raw. Wade introduces Joe Tessitore. Joe thanks Wade for the introduction and he talks about the last weekend and he sucks up to the Broncos fans by comparing them to the European crowds.
– We take a look at highlights from Bash in Berlin.
In the Arena:
Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring. Rhea welcomes everyone to Raw as only she can. She mentions her victory over Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan on Saturday. Rhea says that they are just getting started with The Judgment Day. She pinned the women’s champion in Berlin so she says it is time she got back the thing she never lost.
Dominik Mysterio’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.
Rhea says no one wants to hear Dom so she tells him to go to the back and get his girlfriend before she gives him another black eye. Dom starts to talk about Liv but he gets booed so Dom yells in Spanish. He says Liv is still recovering from what happened in Berlin.
Dom says that her and Priest took advantage of him and Liv. He says they were jet lagged and he didn’t get any sleep. Liv will accept Rhea’s challenge. Just because she is a little banged up, Liv is not afraid of Rhea. Dom says that Liv has beaten Rhea before and she will beat Rhea again. After he wins the Intercontiental title, they will both have gold.
Rhea tells Dom to shut up and she calls him stupid. She says if courageous Liv won’t come out, she will give Dom the message. She will face Liv any time and any place.
Liv tries to attack Rhea from behind but Rhea with a back elbow. Dom gets out of the ring but Liv sends Rhea through the ropes and Rhea’s leg is caught in the ropes. Liv kicks Rhea while she hangs from the ropes.
Damian Priest comes out and that means that Liv and Dom have to run away. Priest checks on Rhea.
Backstage:
We take a look at footage from Uncle Howdy and Chad Gable from last week. Chad tells The Creeds and Ivy he is sick of them losing and they will not be laughed at again. They are the best athletes to come into this company in ten years. Chad tells them to show him.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Rhea does not want her knee checked out but Priest stops them. Priest says he is going to ask for a match against The Judgment Day and he asks her to let them check on her leg.
American Made (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, & Ivy Nile) vs. Alpha Academy (Otis, Akira Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri)
All six pair off and Julius sends Otis to the floor while Ivy does the same to Maxxine. Brutus with forearms to Tozawa. Julius tags in and they pass Tozawa with knees and hit a double gutbuster. Tozawa avoids a suplex a few times and Tozawa with a kick but he misses a spinning heel kick but hits a second one. Otis tags in and he rolls to the floor and he clotheslines Brutus but Julius with a jumping knee and another knee to the head. They return to ther ing and Julius with a forearm to the back followed by an Irish whip. Julius goes up top and Otis catches Julius and he slams Julius. Otis looks around and Ivy gets in Otis’ face and she slaps him.
Otis doesn’t want to do anything to her so he moves and Dupri with a Thesz Press. Dupri sends Ivy to the floor and then Otis with a double shoulder tackle to Brutus and Julius. Otis airplane spins Tozawa and they do the Funk to Julius and Brutus. Otis wants to send Tozawa onto the Creed, but they let Dupri hit a cross body onto everyone.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Tozawa goes for the tag but Julius and Ivy pull Dupri and Otis off the apron. Brutus with Shell Shock followed by a quebrada for a near fall. Julius tags in and Tozawa with a DDT. Otis tags in and he clotheslines Brutus and hits Brutus with a back elbow. Otis with a clothesline to Julius and a back drop to Brutus and Julius. Otis with a splash to Julius and it is time for the shirt to come off for the caterpillar and he hits the elbow drop. Otis gets a near fall. Julius punches Otis and he connects with forearms. Tozawa with a German suplex to Julius and then Brutus goes over the top rope when Tozawa drops down. Tozawa with a suicide dive to Brutus and he tries for one to Julius but Julius catches him and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Otis knocks Julius off the apron but Brutus with a Brutus Ball. Dupri tags in.
Dupri tags in and clotheslines Ivy. Dupri with a knee and suplex. Dupri rips off her shirt and she does the reverse caterpillar and Chad gets on the apron and she kicks him off. Ivy with a kick and the dragon sleeper. Dupri taps out.
Winners: Ivy Nile, Brutus Creed, and Julius Creed
After the match, Chad gets on the mic and he wants everyone to show respect to his team. Chad says he does not suck, but the Wyatts do. Last week was supposed to be a one-on-one match but Howdy had to get his freak show family involved. Chad says he saw what he needs to win and you are looking at it. Chad challenges them to an eight man tag match. Chad says this will be the end of all of this and it will be a street fight. They won’t just get rid of the Wyatts for the fans or the locker room, they are going to get rid of the Wyatts for America.
The lights go out and Howdy shows up on the stage.
He says for 375 days. His sanity crumbled, his path is in the void now. The silence is deafening. He says he can still hear it. He says his life is no longer his. If this is the path that you have chosen, who is he to help Chad with his undoing. You gambled your very being and they will collect the debt.
– Wade mentions that Bronson Reed is not medically cleared so someone will be announced to replace him in the Triple Threat match with Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser.
– We see Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Ilja Dragunov in a mega split screen.
We go to commercial.
Zelina Vega vs. Shayna Baszler
Zelina shows Shayna her injured arm and she slaps Vega. Vega goes to the floor and back into the ring and she kicks Shayna in the head. Vega has an arm drag blocked and Vega with an arm drag and a wheelbarrow into an arm drag. Vega tries to stomp on the arm but Shayna moves out of the way. Vega with an arm drag. Shayna puts Vega on the turnbuckles and Shayna with a forearm and she tries for a superplex but Vega escapes and she hits a Tiger Feint Kick to the legs and she falls to the mat. Vega kicks Shayna to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Shayna with a double wrist lock and she lifts Vega off the apron. Vega with a back elbow and she goes to the turnbuckles and goes for a cross body but Shayna catches Vega and goes for a suplex but Vega with stundog millionaire. Vega with a tornado DDT and then she goes to the turnbuckles and poses and shimmies before hitting a moonsault for a near fall. Vega gets another near fall. Vega with a Tiger Feint Kick to knock Zoey off the apron and she hits a double knee strike on Sonya from the apron.
Shayna with a knee when Vega gets back in the ring and Shayna gets the three count.
Winner: Shayna Baszler
After the match, Sonya, Zoey, and Shayna attack Vega but Lyra Valkyria comes out and goes after Zoey, Sonya, and Shayna, but they work her over. Sonya with a GTR to Lyra and Zoey tosses Vega into a knee from Shayna.
Sonya takes the mic. She asks if you know what it feels like to see them on the ground. It is a sign of how pathetic everyone is. Sonya says there isn’t a man in the crowd who can take them home and there isn’t a woman in the locker room who can take them, period She tells everyone to take their shot.
Backstage:
Rhea says that the crutch and brace is a precaution. Priest says that Balor will only face him in a tag match. He says that Rhea can’t be in the match and he has no friends so the match is off. Rhea tells Priest to tell Pearce the match is still on and she says she has someone.
– CM Punk walks in HALLWAY.
We go to commercial.
– In the back, Zelina says she is sick of these attacks week after week. Lyra says it is time to fight back. Lyra tells Zelina that she has an idea.
In the Arena:
CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
Punk says he never gets sick of it. Punk says he cannot wait to get home to his wife and dog, but he had to make a pit stop to celebrate with you. Punk asks who watched Bash in Berlin. He says the strap match was hell, one of the toughest match he was ever in. That was an ugly and personal issue. Now that the personal is out of the way, they get to get down to business. Punk says he is a business . . . man. When he came back to the WWE, he said he is not here to make friends, he is here to make money. He says he will take that money however he can. He says he is Patrick Roy in 1996 and he will take it in gold.
There was another person who went through hell in Bash in Berlin. There was another person with gold who came out on top. Punk says he is talking about Gunther. You put Randy Orton through hell and you took Randy to his limit and went past it. You are the champion and the only thing that can replace the chiip on his shoulder is with gold. He says he put Drew to sleep and Punk says he needs to wake up as champion. He congratulates Gunther and he tells him to enjoy it because they are going to enjoy taking it off him. The goal is gold, his name is Gunther. He tells Gunther to get used to Cult of Personality.
Punk is attacked from behind by Drew McIntyre and he slams Punk’s head into the announce table.
Wade tries to stop Drew and talks some sense into him.
Drew with a spin move that would make Demaryius Thomas blush and he hits a Claymore. Drew sends Punk back into the ring and he hits another Claymore. Drew says it will never be over. Drew kicks Punk i the head and he pushes away some agents.
Drew has taken back Punk’s Precious and then he breaks it and he puts the beads with Larry and AJ on them in his mouth and Drew with another Claymore. Drew with more punches as referees and Adam Pearce come to the ring.
Pearce calls for medical help for Punk. The stretcher comes to the ring.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and we see Punk being stretchered to the back. Drew attacks Punk on the stretcher and he rips off the neck brace and Punk is bleeding from the mouth. Drew tries to gauge Punk’s eyes.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Number One Contenders Tournament: Ilja Dragunov vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio
Dom with an elbow to Ilja and he gives Lee a forearm. Ilja and Lee with forearms to Dom and they send him over the top rope to the floor. Ilja and Lee lock up and Ilja with a shoulder tackle but he misses a boot. Lee with a head scissors and Ilja goes to the floor. Dom trips Lee and Dom with a slingshot senton and he kicks Ilja to the floor. Lee with punches to Dom and Dom with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Dom chops Ilja and Ilja is not impressed and he chops Dom and hits a German suplex. Ilja holds on and hits a second one. Ilja holds on and Dom grabs lee so Ilja gives both a German suplex at the same time.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Lee goes for a superplex and Dom with punches and forearms. Ilja with a forearm to Lee and Ilja with a power bomb to Lee and an H Bomb but Dom with a frog splash to break up the cover and he gets a near fall on Ilja. Dom with a near fall on Lee. Dom goes for a 619 on Ilja and Ilja catches Dom. Ilja with a kick and Death Valley Driver on the apron. Lee leaps over the ropes for a rana to the floor on Ilja.
Carlito pushes Lee off the turnbuckles and he punches Lee. Damian Priest comes out and he punches Carlto and connects with forearms. Dom with a drop kick through the ropes to Priest and then Dom remembers he has a thing.
Ilja and Lee exchange forearms. Ilja with a back fist and chop. Lee with a chop and boot to the head. Ilja with a jumping boot and Lee with a German suplex and super kick. Ilja pops up with an enzuigir and Lee blocks Konstantin Special and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Ilja sends Lee to the apron and Lee with a kick. Lee goes up top and Ilja chops Lee as he comes off the turnbuckles. Ilja with a running Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckles for a near fall. Ilja puts Lee on the turnbuckles and Lee puts Ilja in the tree of woe. Lee with a double stomp and Lee with a hesitation drop kick. Lee sets for Destino but Ilja escapes and Ilja gets a near fall with an inside cradle. Lee with super kicks but Ilja with Torpedo Moscow for the three count.
Winner: Ilja Dragunov
After the match, Ilja helps Lee up and Lee raises Ilja’s hand.
– We take a look back at what happened between Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman.
Backstage:
Cathy Kelley is with Adam Pearce and she asks about Bronson Reed’s replacement. Adam says it has been an all day process. Braun Strowman shows up and he holds his ribs. Braun says if Pearce is looking for a replacement. He says he is a bit banged up but medical said it was up to Braun and he can go. Pearce says if Braun can tell him face to face that he can go. Braun says he can go. Pearce gives him the spot.
The new Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Number One Contenders Match: Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) vs. Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane)
Fyre and Sane start things off and Fyre with kicks. Isla tags in and she chops Sane but Sane with a chop. Dawn pulls Sane down by the hair. Sane escapes a suplex and Sane with a head scissors take down that sends Dawn to the floor. Sane with a forearm off the apron and then she gives Fyre a spinning back fist. Iyo with a moonsault onto Fyre.
Sane and Sky face off with Bianca and Jade at ringside..
We go to commercial.
We are back and Dawn with a belly-to-back suplex to Sane and an elbow in the corner. Dawn misses a hip into the corner and Fyre tags in and keeps Sane from making the tag. Fyre goes for a suplex but Sane counters with a DDT. Iyo tags in and she hits a series of Shoteis followed by a drop kick. Iyo sends Fyre’s boot into Dawn’s face and she hits a double drop kick. Iyo with a running double knee strike on Fyre and she gets a near fall. Fyre escapes a butterfly move and Fyre gets Iyo up for the Gory Special but Iyo kicks Dawn away. Iyo with a butterfly back breaker followed by a suplex for a near fall. Sane sends Dawn to the floor and Dawn pulls Bianca in the way and Sane hits the announce table.
Fyre with an elbow to Iyo in the corner and Iyo slaps Fyre. Iyo wants to know what is going on with Kairi. Jade punches Sane and she checks on Bianca. Fyre goes for a rollup but Iyo blocks it and she gets a near fall. Dawn drops Iyo on the ropes. Dawn tags in and they hit the Gory Special and reverse DDT combination for the three count.
Winners: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
After the match, Sane has some words for Bianca and Iyo joins in.
Kofi talks to Adam about the tag champs not defending the title for a while and he asks for a match for him and Woods.
Gunther walks past Kofi and Adam as he makes his way closer to the ring.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Rhea is in a good mood. Priest says that he didn’t get his hands on Dom but he asks if he said yes to Rhea. Rhea says he said Yeet.
Gunther makes his way to the ring.
Gunther says on Saturday, Bash in Berlin was the highest grossing gate for an arena show in the history of WWE. Gunther says you Denver degenerates have an opportunity to look at the man responsible for it. He says there is more to celebrate because he beat one of the greatest legends. He said a lot of personal things to Randy, and even though he was right, he wanted the greatest Randy Orton in Berlin. Gunther says he can say he beat the greatest version of Randy Orton. At the end of the day, the big weekend was another chapter in the legacy of the greatest World Champion.
Sami Zayn’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring but he is not his normal bouncy self.
Sami says it is crazy to hear Gunther talking about legacy because he says he has taken the last few weeks to think about his title reign and where he is going. When it comes to that title, they call it the workhorse title and they talk about who held it. The true greats and legends like Savage, Austin, Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart. All of those guys won the Intercontinental Title and used it as a stepping stone for the World Championship. Sami says that is what Gunther did and Sami says that is what he is going to do. Sami says he wants the World Title.
Gunther says all of them used the Intercontinental Title as a stepping stone and they stepped up. When you held the title, you stepped down. That list of legends was impressive and your name was not on it. Gunther says that is why the people like you. When you get knocked down, you pick yourself up and return to the ring. When things don’t go your way, you pick yourself up and return in the middle of this ring. Now you stand in front of him to challenge him for the title. That is impressive. He hears the passion in Sami’s voice and the passion in his eyes. If you want a shot at this more than anything else, Gunther says his answer is no.
Gunther leaves the ring.
Samii says he watched Gunther his entire career and he never backed down from a fight but why are you backing away from this fight. You have beaten many greats, but Sami says he is the only one to beat Gunther in the middle of the ring.
Sami says that Gunther can run and hide, but he is coming for him and he will be a World Champion.
Backstage:
Jackie Redmond is with Jey Uso. Jackie asks if Damian and Rhea gave Jey advice to face Bron. Bron Breakker interrupts the YeetFest and no member of Jey’s family beat up a member of his and it won’t be him. He tells Jey to keep Yeeting and go after Mami. He tells Jey to walk away and go after Dom’s sloppy seconds. If you don’t and come after his title, you will lose. Jey tells the rookie thanks for the advice. Jey says that Bron has his attention now. He will will the tournament and the title and he will beat Bron’s ass while doing it.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Number One Contenders Tournament: Sheamus vs. Braun Strowman vs. Ludwig Kaiser
Kaiser goes to the floor and Sheamus follows after him and punches Kaiser. Kaiser punches back as they go around the ringside area. Sheamus with a Finlay slam on the floor and Braun with a Wacky Lap and he holds his ribs. Braun sends Sheamus into the ring post. Braun with a shoulder tackle attempt but Kaiser moves and Braun goes through the ringside barrier.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Sheamus misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the ring post. Kaiser hangs Sheamus in the ropes and he drop kicks Sheamus to the floor. Kaiser goes for the floor for the Wacky Drop Kick but he is hit with a flying chair from Braun Strowman. Braun sends Sheamus into the ring and he hits a clothesline and a second one. Braun with a choke slam for a near fall. Braun misses a splash into the corner and Sheamus kicks Braun in the back and Braun goes to the apron. Sheamus with punches to the back and he connects with many forearms. Sheamus with a jumping knee to knock Braun off the apron. Kaiser with a rolling Death Valley Driver for a near fall.
Kaiser goes for the swinging reverse DDT but Sheamus escapes. Kaiser with an enzuigiri and Sheamus with a boot but Pete Dunne pulls Sheamus out of the ring and sends him into the apron. Pete hits Sheamus with the shillelagh. Braun splashes Kaiser into the corner and hits the running power slam for the three count.
Winner: Braun Strowman
– Jey bounces in LOCKER ROOM and Priest shows up and mentions their past. Jey says he used to be Priest with no friends and losing your family. Jey says he won’t say no to Rhea. Priest says this is for Rhea.
We go to commercial.
Backstage:
Jackie stops Pete Dunne and asks him if he has anything to say about what he did. He says that this was a message from an old friend and he says he is off to NXT to take care of Trick Williams. Jackie asks if she should say it is from Butch and Pete is not happy. He tells her “Don’t call me Butch!”
– Next week, Pete Dunne, Jey Uso, Braun Strowman, and Ilja Dragunov meet to see who faces Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Title. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn face Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the tag titles. We will have an eight person street fight between American Made and the Wyatts.
Damian Priest and Jey Uso vs. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh
Priest and Finn start things off and Finn tags in JD and goes to the floor. JD with a chop and Priest is not impressed. Priest kicks JD to the floor and Priest brings Finn into the ring and Finn goes to the floor. JD with kicks to Priest. Priest blocks an Irish whip and hits a jumping back elbow. Priest with forearms and Jey tags in. Jey with an elbow into the corner followed by a kick for a near fall. Finn tags in and they both kick Jey. Finn with boots to Jey and he tags JD back in. JD with a drop toe hold and a leg drop to the back of the head. Finn tags in and Finn with an elbow to the clavicle. Finn with a forearm to the back of the head and punches to Jey. Finn chokes Jey in the ropes and JD kicks Jey when the referee was out of position. Jey sends Finn over the top rope to the floor and hten Jey sends JD to the floor.
Jey with a plancha onto Finn and JD.
We go to commercial.
We are back and JD kicks Jey in the corner and Finn tags in. Jey with punches and he connects with an elbow to JD. Finn runs Jey into the turnbuckles and he connects with many shoulders. JD tags in and he snap mares Jey and Finn with a slingshot stomp. JD tags in and gets a near fall. JD with a Fujiwara arm bar. Jey with punches and JD fires back. Jey with many punches and the spit filled punch is stopped by a head butt. Jey with an enzuigiri and both men are down. Priest and Finn tag in and Priest with punches and he boxes JD’s ears and sends him to the mat. Priest with kicks and a discus forearm and another forearm to Finn. Priest with elbows into the corner on both men. Priest sends JD to the floor and Finn with a rollup for a near fall. Finn with Sling Blade but Priest with a boot to Finn. Priest with a clothesline and he sets for South of Heaven. Finn with a victory roll to counter for a near fall. Finn runs into a back elbow and JD drops Priest on the top rope.
Finn with a GTR and he gets a near fall. JD tags in and he kicks Priest. Finn tags back in and Priest runs through a double clothesline and he hits a double clothesline after Jey makes the blind tag and Jey with a cross body onto both men and a super kick to Finn and JD. Jey with a spear to JD and Jey goes up top for a frog splash but Liv Morgan crotches Jey. Finn tags in and he hits sling blad and then sets for the running drop kick and hits it. JD tags in and Finn goes up top and hits Coup de Grace and JD with a moonsault but Priest breaks up the cover.
Rhea Ripley’s music plays and she hobbles to the ring and Liv laughs and mocks her, but Rhea is not as hurt as it appears. Rhea hits Liv with the crutch and she chases Liv away.
Finn and JD see Rhea and Priest sends JD to the floor and Priest sets for Razor’s Edge but Jey with a spear to Finn and a Razor’s Edge to JD. Jey tags in and hits a frog splash for the three count.
Winners: Jey Uso and Damian Priest
