Triple Threat Title Match Set for NXT Battleground

Triple Threat Title Match Set for NXT Battleground – Oba Femi will defend his NXT North American Championship in a triple threat match against Wes Lee and Joe Coffey at NXT Battleground.

On the May 21 episode of WWE NXT, Ivar was originally set to face Wes Lee and Josh Briggs in a Triple Threat match to determine the challenger for Femi at NXT Battleground. However, Gallus attacked Ivar backstage on the May 14 episode, leading to Joe Coffey of Gallus replacing Ivar in the match.

The match saw intense action from all three contenders. Briggs showcased his power, while Lee used his athleticism to gain momentum. Coffey managed to ground Briggs but was interrupted by Lee’s high-flying moves. At one point, Lee dove onto both Briggs and Coffey, but Coffey retaliated by slamming Lee onto the apron. Gallus then interfered, attacking Briggs. Ultimately, Lee and Coffey both pinned Briggs simultaneously, leading to confusion over the winner.

NXT General Manager Ava resolved the issue by announcing that Femi would defend his title against both Lee and Coffey in a triple threat match at NXT Battleground.
